CloseOkay, to be more specific, the actual forums were coded very poorly. WIP, you have even confirmed this. Is there any hope of the forums to see an improvement codewise, even in gradual, minor improvements? I mean, we don't even have the options for polls.

The only thing I'd want is the "new post" feature. Where you click the "view" or "new" or whatever and it takes you to the most recent post you haven't read yet. Currently it always takes me to the last post.

Yes. Currently with RMNv2, the main site and the forums are two completely different systems that can talk to each other. With RMN3, the forums are integrated directly into the site and coded by myself. The current forums are SMF and made in PHP.
Its not really necessary since it could be done by other ways, but it would nice if we could have a spoilers function.
We do have a spoilers function, I believe. Unless you meant a spoiler button that's easily accessible, in that case I agree.

So to clarify, do you mean that you're ditching smf completely and using a forum coded from scratch?
Hmph, I never saw a button for it so I didn't even know it was around.
And yeah, GP is right. Albeit the forum may be sub par to some folks, I guess at least we will/have a functional main site. :P
In my magic crystal ball I see... WIP coding a new forum in Python, something he always wanted to do because he can't stand php, wait whats this, everything went boom when transfering all the topics over to it.
