I'd make a list of the games I'd like to play on both systems, and then pick the one with the most games.
I'd probably do some (lame) ranking scheme, too, where I'd rate how much I want to play the game, and then add up the scores and see who comes out on top.
While you are at it maybe you could adjust your suspenders. >:( >:(
So I just ordered Dragon Quest IV for DS for Store Pickup at Best Buy and I am so excited to poop tonight. What do people without handheld video games do when they are pooping :(
Hmm. Well, judging off of this thread, I will probably end up buying a DS (if I get a job ...) because I want to play that new Suikoden game and also Chrono Trigger. Almost everything on the PSP that I want to play are just remakes ... And note, I am an RPG gamers. Not really interested in those other stuff. How much are games usually priced for the DS? Or do they vary? Sorry guys, I wasn't kidding when I said I know shit about the current market.

Well, my input on this is even if you mainly play RPGs, I think it's kinda limiting to buy an entirely new system just to play RPGs. I mean, I think it would be more frugal and better on your part to consider all of the genres that a system has to offer so you can branch out. I mean, I know that you like RPGs, but I think it would be a wise investment to try to get into or at least enjoy other genres.

New games generally cost $30-40 for DS. Niche and casual titles tend to be on the cheaper side.
That's why I'm saying. I mean, I know it's your money/decision, but I'd be damned to spent 100+ bucks on a new system so I can play only one genre (and the same one I've been playing for years) on it.

I don't see why there is a problem with caring about what genre you like the most in a system since its what you are going to spend most of your time playing anyways.
It's not a PROBLEM (not my problem anyway) but I think it's pretty dumb spending money to limit yourself to one genre, and the same and only genre you've been playing for years, at that! Branch out, play some other stuff.
Uhm, did you read my earlier messages saying I've played games like Brain Age and shit before? Also, I didn't say I was only going to play JUST RPGames. I said its a priority -- meaning what RPGs a system has to offer is pretty damn important to me compared to the rest of the things. And being dumb = problem.

It's not really a 'debate' because nothing is really being debated. YDS likes RPGs. If that's her priority it's okay, as she has resisted your statements repeatedly. Just let it lie.

I am only making a suggestion, of course. To be fair, she did respond in a manner that prompted discussion on my part, I was assuming she wanted me to elaborate/back up what I'm saying. I'm not forcing my suggestions on her, merely backing them up with my own subjective viewpoints.
