CloseAh haha, I kind of missed the whole "RPG" qualifier, so oops. Army-Andy would be pretty rad, though there would need to be a way for him to build up "war funds" (probably from dealing damage). Actually, I'm wondering if they'll add a proper "super meter" in a future version for character-specific resource management. The Final Smash piñata thing (I don't really play the game enough to remember the name!) is cute and chaotic, but they could do better.
Or maybe not! My favorite is still 64, after all.

So I put some thought into what you asked.
Here is what I came up with.
Illusion of Gaia
Will's Move Set for Smash
Neutral B - Freedan’s Aura Barrier
Foward B - Freedan’s Dark Friar (Forward B again for a scatter shot)
Down B - Freedan’s Earth Quaker
Up B - Nazca Condor Teleport
Grab - Telekinesis (It would essentially be a very long distance grab like Link's Hookshot but
invisible)
Foward Smash - Psycho Dash
Down Smash - Psycho Slider
Up Smash - An arking swing of his whistle.
Run Attack - Spin Dash
Neutral A Jab - 3 hit combo with Whistle
Foward Tilt - Spin's whistle in front of him vertically
Down Tilt - Spin's whistle diagonally down horizontally
Up Tilt - Spin's whistle above of him vertically
F.Air - Manifests a statue a short distant from self and pulls it toward himself using
Telekinesis. In other words it's a trap move.
B.Air - Same as F.Air but in opposite direction
U.Air - Same as F.Air but in an upward direction
D.Air - Same as F.Air but in a downward direction
Final Smash - Shadow’s Fire Bird
Taunts - Wind Melody, Memory Melody, and Lola's Melody

The reality is a lot of main characters in gaming history use swords it's not a big deal if more sword wielders are in the game; so long as they have unique move sets.

I think the problem is less "uses sword" and more that they're really, really similar in terms of sillo and move type. They're all kind of generic characters, as opposed to the really cool variety of all the other types there.
I always imagined Skyrim's "Dovakiin" would make decent addition to the roster, and with the shout mechanic there is a lot to play with to make him stand out from the other "dude with a sword" fighters.
Still, I voted Dragon Quest only because I want to play as a Slime.
And now that you mention silhouette, Shulk + Cloud and Roy + Ike kind of blend together slightly.

author=SoozI agree with this. Hell, with the exception of Meta Knight and maybe Toon Link, all of the character archetypes you can see on that list are mostly young, slender "pretty-boy" figures with many having some sort of cape. That area of the roster definitely lacks diversity.

They also feel weird next to Jigglypuff. I like my Smash to be about mascots. Alas, I assume the Japanese audience would want another cool anime dude with a sword over a cutesy bobblehead with off the wall gameplay.

I think you vastly underestimate the appeal of cute shit in Japan.
ETA: Though I think the sword doodz are considered kind of mascots in Japan, just... really samey mascots.
Tir, Riou, or Freyjadour from Suikoden would be a nice addition if you don't want more sword users. They use cool not-so-conventional melee weapons and can cast some very neat magic. I've actually never played SMASH so I don't know if characters like these would work very well in that game, but it would be nice to see some love for the Suikoden series.
