CloseHere's a random idea, what if there was a crossover RPG game starring characters from multiple RPGs. So like a Smash Bros RPG. It probably wouldn't be the most exciting story-wise but it could be a fun time gameplay and nostalgia-wise.

How about Super Mario RPG? Please dig up Mallow and Geno and immediately put them in Smash.

Here's a random idea, what if there was a crossover RPG game starring characters from multiple RPGs. So like a Smash Bros RPG. It probably wouldn't be the most exciting story-wise but it could be a fun time gameplay and nostalgia-wise.
It could be exciting story-wise, if the game creators put together a cool story relating to the hows and whys, instead of just hoping that people will play the game because, 'Oh, lookie! It's that guy! And he's hanging out with that other guy!'.
Again, people usually do try it out, because who doesn't get excited when they see their favorite games/series paired together? I've been a sucker for certain crossovers myself, but they can very much be a letdown for me, because I go in hoping for a cool story and, well, a bit more natural harmony.
Ah well, such are the dilemmas of the fans.
