ika would be better than RM* in theory - except ika's editors and tools are vastly inferior, even if the engine is superior. Major sticking point.

As for Sphere, it kinda stinks. As far as I've heard, Javascript is okay for web-based stuff - not so much programming a videogame. Also, the editors are even worse than ika's, IIRC.
Out of curiosity, when is ika going to be VISTA ready?!
I will, though I got windowsXP running up stairs, it's a shame I won't be able to play them on my HD Laptop><
My XP trial finally ran out. I see that as a good thing, though; now that I'm screwing around with VX, I like it a LOT more than XP. I'm a big fan of the vehicles and the spiffy text system that doesn't require you to use confusing scripts. I do like XP's RTP stuff more, but that's not really a switching point.
I don't like the ridiculously big-headed character sprites or lack of actor battle graphics, though. Either way, I'll screw around in VX for 21 more days (since I actually downloaded it 9 days ago) and decide which version I want to buy then. VX is winning.

I just don't like the tall XP charasets. I mean yeah VX characters are small and chubby, but the tall charasets in XP just don't tickle my fancy

Anyway, been slacking in posting my drive but been working on things really.

Indeed. As far as I know I'm the first one to do so, but then again my window of game making is fairly narrow (i.e. here). I'm sure someone on RMVX/RMXP.org has done it.

Bug eradication. Sooo many bugs and such. And also trying to figure out what to add. I got the EXP system working, because it wasn't, fail, and the battles patched up, because they were broken, fail, and now I'm using far too many commas in this run-on sentence, fail, and I should stop now.
Yes, I'm going back to sleep.

I missed my usual update, but that's because I had too much homework to worry about. With the semester winding down, I can't find the time to work on much else. Hopefully better news next week!
Depending on when harmonic started, I may have done it before him even. I started the RPG Maker VX version of Dragon Kingdoms: Birth of a Legend in early March.

The weekend of progress, it seems.

Friday, November 7
I opened up RPG Maker VX and loaded Dragon Kingdoms Birth of a Legend Episode 2, and my save from the "old" Episode 1, only to find that Episode 2 loads the old "return to title screen" event from Episode 1.

Well, I loaded an earlier save and it works fine, so I guess I'll just have to remove the return to title screen event.

Saturday, November 8
I used the save that worked before, and took a screenshot of the mountain path leading to Renzan Town, where a party member wanted to go. Now, he can be happy.

Sunday, November 9
I loaded up Episode 1 of Birth of a Legend and removed the return to title part of the end of episode event.
Well, I took the save to Episode 2, and it no longer returns to the title, but I still had a black screen, and kept running into King Mushies (Lv. 17 vs. Lv. 12 = DEATH). I faded the screen back in, and realized it was night.
So, it wasn't just referring to the last valid party in the old episode. Thank goodness.

I bought VX right when it came out and ported XP charsets immediately. Yay contest to see who did something first!
Currently have started working on Demon Destiny 2.

-Storyline.
-Main Characters.
-Filled in the database.

Total Time Spent So far: 1 hour 20 minutes.
I have an almost substantial amount of work done in my new VX project... I'll make a page and a topic for it soon enough.
I have an urge to create right now, I'll be back at 10(pacific time) to give a update on what i've done.

Edit:
Okay so for the past hour 1/2 I've been working on Mind Gate.
I've made two "gates" so far,
Worked on the party switchin feature (Its getto, but will work)
And continued on the story(I havent worked on this project in so long, I forgot the plot)

Anyways, I've just submited a demo, so when it get accepted check out Demo, Alpha, (Link in sig.)
VABS Progress: (Verifyed-Action-Battle-System)
-Finally finished Targeting
-Code now realizes when enemies are dead and therefore cannot be targeted
-Leveling up works great now, and looks beautiful!

Only flaw now:
-Party members sometimes do what they want, even if told to do something else -_-

Sometimes I tell the dude to follow me to get his ass out of danger, but yet he turns around and starts attacking the enemies ... therefore he dies and I must revive him -_-
Or sometimes it goes the other way around, I'll tell him to attack an enemy and he starts chasing it, but then turns around and comes back to me :| wtf ...
