[FINISHED] KLOE THE MURDERER MAFIA

Fearful, you have to vote on area moving, you can't freely move around.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Fearful, how the hell can you be so absent from this game that you don't even know the rules on page 38?
Guys, here's the complete list of every single post Fearful has made in this thread that wasn't an in-character roleplaying post.
He asked the most generic-ass "please don't modkill me for inactivity" question possible twice, directly asked not to be modkilled twice, and asked me about my avatar four times. That is the entirety of his contribution to this mafia game.
I'm being pretty generous by suggesting that the comments about my avatar aren't in-character, since they certainly have almost nothing to do with the game (I changed it before the game even started).
Pianotm is still sending mild scum vibes but at least he's talking and interacting and contributing. Fearful isn't playing at all. He is either trying his damnedest not to be noticed, or is completely ignoring every part of this game except the roleplaying. I don't like either option.

Nshhh let's not get myself mod killed for a third time in a mafia game.
author=Fearful
Pianotm. What do you make of all of this?
author=Fearful
Hey Lockez can I examine that bloody knife of yours? It's to big to have committed the murder but I found it interesting.
author=Fearful
Idk LockeZ your knife scares me, but is that reason enough to vote for you? Frogge I have decided to #lynch Frogge
author=Fearful
Shinan what are your thoughts?
author=Fearful
What's with the bloody knife LockeZ what's the purpose?
author=Fearful
#lynchLockeZ the knife makes me uneasy... and i don't understand why they have it :x

If I seem flipfloppy, it's only because this game is like a Foot Locker for imposters, and there are enough glass flipflops on sale to prove that every damn one of you is no princess.

Ow the edge.
Anyway, it's hard for me to read fearful as anything but town right now. It's mostly a meta reason, but fearful is known for his relatively short, avant-garde posting style and in the past mafia games he's joined, he hasn't really deviated from that.
Hell, if he is mafia, he would be damn hard to read in that regard, but really, his posts seem genuine.
LockeZ, I'd like to ask you why you switched your vote despite the suspicions fearful raises on your end. My concern right now is not only that you are flip-flopping, but the fact that you are changing your vote from someone with WAY more valid evidence for being scum to someone who doesn't makes me suspicious of you right now.

Uh. The "suspicions" he raised that I... changed my avatar to be holding a knife? Which I did when I signed up for the game, before Kloe mailed any of us our roles?
I'd like to lynch them both, but I only have the one vote per day. If I had to pick one right now, it'd actually still be Pianotm, but I felt like pointing out Fearful's incompetent scum tactics would barely be noticed and hold no weight if I didn't also vote for him. People ignore rants but notice votes.
At the end of the day I'll be voting for whichever of the two has more votes, unless someone discovers something incredible in the RP portion of the game.

It's a rather odd time to just change your avatar. Do you not take your avatar seriously? Because I sense that you do, and I feel your hiding something LockeZ.

Yes. Using time travel, I realized before the game started that I was going to be chosen as scum, and then decided to set my avatar to something violent to give everyone a clue and help myself lose. You've figured it out.
This is either the most completely incompetent accusation I've ever seen from a member of the scum party, or you are actually having a complete mental breakdown.
This is either the most completely incompetent accusation I've ever seen from a member of the scum party, or you are actually having a complete mental breakdown.
When I started showing interest in playing Mafia games recently, I thought that the biggest danger is such a game would be a lack of activity and communication between players. I haven't posted nearly as much as I would like to, because it turns out this game requires more time and energy than I expected. But i also find that in this game, I'm starting to lose my overview and ability to concetrate due to the huge amount of posts every day. Not only does it take long to catch up, all of the words and white noise are actually beginning to drown out the potentially useful information. So if I get confused and accidentally make an incorrect statement, please do point that out to me.
I don't think that's true, though. The one person I am currently having the most doubt about is pianotm, as a matter of fact. If I recall correctly, I even argued against him on day 1 when he voted to lynch LockeZ.
And it's true that I've been acting insecurely concerning Frogge, since I was not convinced we should lynch him but had no better alternative in mind either. But I never voted to lynch him in the end. Even though, to be honest, I probably would have, just for the lack of a better idea, if his death hadn't already been sealed due to the large amount of votes against him. In the end, his whole letter business made me more inclined to believe he was town, but I neither saw a way to convince people not to lynch him, nor was I myself so completely convinced of his innocence that I would have wanted to attempt that.
While this is somewhat true, I'm getting a similar impression from Shinan as from LockeZ: They try to confuse people so they slip up and reveal more information about themselves than they wanted to. Of course, it's possible they are both scum and have agreed on this kind of strategy together, but I find that very unlikely. But as I said before, the one thing that gives me pause is that if Shinan is really Mafia, his behaviour in this game has proven so incredibly inefficient at dispelling suspicion towards him that I can hardly believe scum would risk that. Maybe I'm falling right into his trap by thinking like this, but it just seems so improbable to me.
I'm not assuming the Mafia is necessarily competent, but faking total incompetence just seems like an incredibly dangerous and risky strategy that's probably hard to keep up for a whole game. Which raises the question of whether I'm overestimating Shinan when I believe him to be competent enough to play his role well, or underestimating him by thinking he couldn't fake incompetence to shield himself.
All of this is also why I find it so difficult to gauge whether fearful might be scum or not. He seems so confused about the rules and workings of this game that I can hardly believe he could have kept his identity secret if he were Mafia. But admittedly, every time I read one of his posts, I feel like I understand him less than before. If he is indeed scum, I'll admit he used his aura of weirdness to his advantage in a brilliant way. But I also don't want to risk lynching an innocent player and losing a potentially important ally just because his playstyle confuses me.
author=Gourd_Clae
Players that are playing rather aggressively + seem to agree on everything: Neversilent and Piano. I'm curious how long they've been agreeing so I may look into that.
Neversilent came off as innocent at first, but their connection to piano has seemed very obvious? Maybe I'm paranoid, but piano also didn't feel NS fit into the category of people who act on the fence before lynching someone anyway as well, which seemed like strange thing to mention?

I've found Shinan suspicious from the get go. The way he's playing and what he does. He never seems to respond with any real answers but rather starts to direct the heat elsewhere.

I have to ask, though, whether it's safe to assume the mafia is competent? :V
Actually, scratch that, if they weren't, they would have outed themselves back in Day 1... Maybe? I dunno. >_>

It's the first time really playing mafia but from what I understand everyone that is playing is assigned a role. It's more or less a mystery what role everyone is playing, but we can try and determine what role they are by interacting with them. I find it difficult to come to many conclusions at this time.
I feel LockeZ might be mafia simply because of his avatar. I feel his point that this is not a good way to determine what role is, is a valid point.

Actually, there are some with powers and some without.
Also, LockeZ had the avatar before the Mafia game even started, so it's not a good argument against him, fearful.

I am breaking my promise not to respond.
Why? Because there's no point in keeping it. It was honestly a very good choice because it gave me the chance to watch you from the outside.
First thing I realized is that I shouldn't have joined this game because I'm burnt out on mafia.
Second thing I realized is that everybody, LockeZ included, has been confused by the roleplay elements of this game. This game is frankly schizophrenic, and the RP elements have made it harder than hell to read anybody.
Third, LockeZ's vote on fearful has made me super-suspicious. Now, I don't think he's acting mafia, and frankly, while it's possible, I don't think RNG stands a tremendous chance of making him mafia twice in a row. Nevertheless, we all know how fearful posts and to suggest that he's mafia for acting the way he normally does is simply ridiculous. If for nothing else, I simply had to post on behalf of fearful. As to that, no fearful, Ratty is right: the avatar changed before each of us got our roles and it is not a good reason to lynch. That said, LockeZ is giving some really good reasons to lynch. His constant flip-flopping on votes, his petty reasons for voting, the uncharacteristically broken logic he's using deliberately (yes, I noticed).
Now, I really, really, really, want to resume my lynch vote on Shinan, but you all have a point. If he's really scum why would he play incompetent? Still, a counter-point to that is that he may not genuinely give a fuck. This is mafia, after all. Some players reach the point where they realize all the petty shit you typically get lynched for, and they just have zero fucks to give, and that's genuinely how Shinan strikes me. If that's the case, lynching him might be a good idea if for no other reason than he is simply impossible to read properly.
Unfortunately, if we lynch another town tonight, then scum will almost certainly use their nightkill and then we will be four town down. Now, there are plenty of us left (ten total), but that number is going to dwindle quickly. Petty random lynches are telling us nothing, ergo, they need to fucking stop.
Now, here's who's left (in order of signup list):
1) Shinan
2) LockeZ
3) NeverSilent
4) oddRabbit
5) Me
6) Gourd_Clae
7) Crystal-Mint
8) fearful
9) InfectionFiles
10) Ratty524
In my mind, Shinan is the most suspicious: he's in my red zone.
LockeZ always hovers in my red zone simply because he's always so difficult to read and often deliberately does things that send off scum-tells. Still, I am personally of the opinion that it's unfair to lynch someone just because they're a good player, so I give him the benefit of the doubt. Nevertheless, my spidey sense is tingling a bit more than usual on him, but that could just be his frustration with the RP elements skewing my read.
Ratty524 simply hasn't done anything that's obviously scummy. He had that stunt he pulled early on that might have been a role-claim, but other than that, he's staying under the radar pretty well now. That's unusual for him. It merits a closer look. He could also be a power role than scum. That can create a false read because people also keep special roles secret. Still, everyone who played the last game remembers how he acted when he was an agent. Also, I think some of us played Isrieri's Phoenix Wright mafia (LockeZ, definitely), and I think those of us that remember that when Ratty has something to hide, he puts off really, super-obvious scum-tells.
Next on my list is InfectionFiles (ah-ha: you didn't think I suspected you, did you?). No, InfectionFiles is putting off the newbie vibe, definitely, and a lot more than Frogge did (which, Frogge, if you're reading, you really did have me fooled. You'll be a good mafia player.), but I noticed he's playing awfully close to the chest. Now, you all notice something about IF. He seems to be following me rather closely. Now, I'll admit, I'm flattered, but he seems to be taking all of his queues from me. LockeZ accuses me of being the corporate yes man, but let's take a look at something IF did.

Then I voted for Shinan on day 2, and...
It took him awhile, but it was his very next post after I lynched Shinan. Now, by itself, this exchange isn't suspicious. In fact, it's normal to expect some to convince another person to join a bandwagon. Bandwagons are very easy to do. Still, in context with IF's seeming fixation on me, I think you can see why I point this exchange out. Just something for us all to keep in mind.
Crystal-Mint is lowest on my suspect list, but she's pinged my scumdar a couple times. I really don't have a big reason to suspect, and I really don't, but she's done a couple things to make me notice so I am keeping a watchful eye open.
NeverSilent, I have no suspicion of. My reasons are entirely meta (based on how he played in the game I ran).
Gourd_Clae seems to be keeping a low profile. He's done nothing scummy, and he's usually not very talkative, but he's less talkative than usual. Bears watching, but I'm pretty much not suspicious of him.
oddRabbit, I have no suspicion of. My reasons are entirely meta.

You have been acting strangely and scummy the whole game
You also don't like explaining yourself and generally act silly because if you are town then you're just being weird.

I have decided to vote Shinan simply because I don't have anything on LockeZ, yet. But I do feel that caniablism is not that cool.
I have decided to vote Shinan simply because I don't have anything on LockeZ, yet. But I do feel that caniablism is not that cool.
Well, I feel I should follow an experienced player my first time playing and at least piano is more collected than say LockeZ. That isn't to say LockeZ doesn't make me think or he's unorganized but his play style is something I'm not sure I'm ready to back or follow as a way to play the game.
Maybe in the future, but I'm just not that aggressive, yet.
I'm sticking with Shinan only because he doesn't present as town and if he is then I dont know why he would act the way he's acting. And I've said this before your big post piano and that is if he really just doesn't give a fuck then that's not helpful and besides losing a town wouldn't hurt anything.
I'm not suspicious of fearful but his whole act can be seen just as that in a few posts here and outside. He can talk and act normal. So if he over does it he might be compensating.
NeverSilent is a little suspicious just because he is barely suspicious of anyone. He's really not trying to start trouble anywhere and doesn't want to be the one to lynch unless it's reactionary.
OddRABBIT is hard to tell, just like Gourd they don't post a whole lot and aren't really doing anything scummy or pointing fingers. This might just be the time issue or they are just staying out of it and watching like piano did or tried too.
Ratty is suspicious but it's been so long I've been thinking that it's probably just stuck in my mind. Though he doesn't try to be too helpful and doesn't have a problem with feeble lynching.
I dont trust LockeZ for the same reason as piano. They are both good and scary and do hold sway. So obviously they are both dangerous but I can't say I'm suspicious of either one of them as scum right now.
Maybe in the future, but I'm just not that aggressive, yet.

So, it's basically Ratty and Shinan still for me. Nothing has changed there.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

It's not what Fearful's said or the way he's said it that makes me suspect him, it's the fact that he has avoided legitimately participating for the entire game. He's doing the same roleplay-only thing that Shinan was doing on day one, except Shinan stopped and Fearful didn't.
