MCBACON JAM #4
Posts

Not sure if I'll be able to complete it because of health, but I'd like to try out the next Jam. (Whether McBacon or McLiberty, whichever or both :p) It'll be my first Jam so hopefully someone posts clear guidelines for it.
Feel free to check past events and check out the descriptions of the previous events to get an idea of how it works and what its all about. If you're still stumped, send me a PM.
McLibertyI dont know where this term came from, but Liberty and myself have never performed fusion, and dont foresee this happening anytime soon.
Already have ideas for it, the start of a story, etc. Also an interesting (at least for me, hehe) formulae for battles. (That I figured out after a couple hours a day or two ago while testing different systems.)
Better keep it flexible cause there's always a theme announced for these.
Bit of a spoilers, but several characters use firearms (its kinda western-y, Wild Arms 3 is awesome and I need to finish it) and so ammo amount comes into play. I have yanfly, hime, victor, galv, and some other scripts playing nice...ish with each other. So each individual weapon item has its own ammo count, but ran into issues with dual wielding or weapon switching, so had to scale back some customization options. Could prolly create a custom plugin to do a proper system IF I was Queen of Javascript, but you know, novice coder here. Still, it works, and if I have time I'll add improvements to it all along the way. (inb4 programmer crunch and gulping down chocolate to stay awake for the deadline)
Libby's fusion form gets access to DualCast and bonus JP on Brawl actions. Its super effective.
Flexibility yep, have a lot of stories and ideas I could use. (Which is one reason I like writing assignments with some types of goals, helps narrow it down, haha.) Also totally gonna check out the past events, thanks McBacon.

So, I am going to take a guess here and say these McBacon Jams are bit like the writing topics in high school. Only in this we are given a theme and then we gather our team member(s) and work on said game for however long this thing last. Or at least something to this effect I am guessing.
If we can work solo, then I'd be up for it this time round...

Thanks for the snark for literally no reason

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

I'd be up for this in February.
While I like the idea of mcbaconjams, i'm more interested in whatever liberty has been cooking up for now. it's really hard for me to do the jams since i can be domineering, have my own long-term project/partner, and my schedule is mostly "how exhausted am i from work today? okay i'll code for an hour". i'd like to do another at some point though (or one at all? i think i did a bunch of stuff for the first or second but then my team dropped)... maybe i'm thinking of swap in the middle with you. w/e.
Was there ever a concrete date set for this? Or the other site event, or whatever's happening? Trying to plan around a few other offsite events.

No, Libby has a jam she wants to do first.
March 10th is the final date I've decided on for when this will begin.
For some reason I imagined there would still be more posting on this page. Though, I suppose the lack of conversation could be due to the large number of people focused more on Winterruption, which is occurring at the time of this post, than McBacon Jam #4, which happens in a few months.
Also, quick, but stupid, question. Is the event page going to be up a few days before the event? I imagine so, and am likely considered an idiot due to even asking this question.

There are no stupid questions, don't worry.
Ziggy will very likely put up an event page before the event actually starts so that those who don't know about it (or forgot) will get a chance to reach out to each other and form teams, so don't worry about that. There'll also be some a spot on the front page to let people know, and a banner on the Community page.

I don't think words like that actually ever go out of style.
I know I like to modulate what I call people. And peeps is one of them!
