Title asks all, you know how you can share your created games online for everyone to download and play? And even search up games via an ID thing.

What if, you created a game page for your game, then add the id for people to be able to share it?

What do you think?

Works for me. Though our download code doesn't support just showing a code so couldn't track download counts... Which means our review code wouldn't be enabled...

How would you get in game screenshots?
Hm... Maybe a zipfile with the code as the name could be uploaded, allowing a trigger for reviewing. You would still need to supply the images as required, of course.
Could probably be a text file with a code (and game name etc.. basically a readme.txt)
Sooz
They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

What the heck is a FES I only know it as a Persona so I tried googling but from context I am fairly sure it is not a debt elimination plan, a city in Morocco, fundamentals of endoscopic surgery, or financial education services.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

For this game which similarly doesn't have a download, just info on how to play, I created a page called "Connecting" in a tab on the game page. Then I submitted an external download - which was actually the URL of that Connecting page. So when you click the button to download the game, it takes you to that page.

This is a pretty solid workaround, but if the next RPG Maker is going to handle all of its games this way, then it'd be very nice if the site had some kind of more official support for this kind of thing.

Can we upload just straight text files to the download section though? I was thinking the zipfile could be empty or have a readme with credits (if necessary for something to be in there) and the actual code be in the title or description of the download so that people wouldn't actually have to download a file. It's not like you NEED to download in order to review (apparently that's not something the site checks for), so the only thing it'd cause issue for is download counts, which aren't really necessary... bar for buzz, I guess.

I mean, both or either wouldn't be an issue, though.

Camera phone?

¯\_(•_•)_/¯
I'm pretty sure you can take a screenshot on most new handheld devices nowdays. 3DS has a built in feature for screenshotting. Then it's just a matter of connecting to the internet (whether through PC connection or on the console in question) and sending over. Easy enough. ^.^

Or putting your SD card from the 3DS on the computer and uploading, tho some 3DS SD cards are harder to remove than others (looking at you, "New" 3DS)

Is there some code or emulator that allows PC users to play your game?
From what I see you audience will be very limited.

That is the biggest issue until such time as an emulator catches up with the game allowing you to play it on PC.

Not so far, yet. There is only a free downloadable player for the 3DS.

Incidentally, if anyone has an RPG already, let me know and I can download the player on my kids' 2DS and grab it.

They should add some of that stuff to a dlc pack for rpg maker mv like they did with the ds pack.

Interesting that NIS published this. Includes some fan service to their own products by the looks of it.
