[MAFIA] SIMPLE MAFIA FOR NORMAL PEOPLE
Posts
I was looking at the opening post when I said that. Because my role is vanilla town, I instantly thought we'd have two mafia goon and a town jailkeeper. It only occured to me after posting that the other two setups would have vanilla town as well despite not being listed (I believe they'd just have two town powers and 5 vanilla instead?).
It's my bad habit in these games. I tend to post before I fully have my thoughts in order. You can tell just looking at my past post record in the few games I've been in.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

That sounds fair enough I guess. But note that the columns are also possible setups, not just the rows.

@demonlord: You realize the setup can be A/B/C as well as 1/2/3 right?
@Jero: I'm not sure that actually makes demonlord likely to be scum though. If he thought only rows were possibilities, he'd only get that setup 1 conclusion if he were jailkeeper or vanilla, not the goon.

Now that you mention it, I had missed that. two townie roles and one mafia in each column. Looks like it won't be as easy to narrow down as I had initially thought.
I'm gonna take demon's blunder as a good indicator of his innocence. Honestly doubt scum would've made that mess up so quickly then also claim just as casually.
Also LETS GET THIS STAAAARRRTTTEEEDDD!!!

Psy, my thinking was that scum might have been told the setup in advance, the way he so forcefully claimed setup 1. He hadn't yet claimed vanilla when I wrote that post.
It definitely seems more likely to be an innocent blunder now though.

This post will become a post of substance in about 4 hours.
Whomever we're lynching I'm against it for reasons I'll discuss once I bother to read the thread.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=Gourd_ClaeBeing an idiot is pretty easy to fake. He had a week and a half to figure out how to fake a type of misunderstanding that would only be possible for vanilla town to make. Don't be so trusting.

I don't especially think he's scum, I just don't think the blunder means much of anything.
Isri not commenting on the demongate is noted.
Psy, I'm not sure about that B and C would be town sided.

this is a mafia game, why would I not be suspicious
what a suspicious thing to say

@Cap_H: No idea what you mean about town-sided, but bascially for demon to think this /has/ to be setup 1, he as to make at least one mistake (thinking only rows are selectable) and then another mistaken if he's not jailkeeper (that there's only one vanilla town or w/e). Or I guess maybe he missed that there are multiple slots for "generic goon" on the chart but I doubt it.
No idea why you think Jero would be PR either, or if you have hidden info why you think it'd be great to point that out.

I'm not going to confirm or deny, but yes, I do want to hear your reasoning, Cap.
@LockeZ It seemed genuine to me so that's what I'm going with. It's as good as anything on day 1. Plus, it seems like it'd put more suspicion him than anything so why bother?
@Cap why... do you think Jeroen is PR?

In other news which happens to be good news, we're only waiting on IF and ebeth to post at this point. Everyone else has made an appearance~

Because you immidiately countered the claim. You probably wouldn't do that as mafia goon. Also, It was kind of silly to mention it as you're #1 target now.
@Psy, In B a C town has more powers than scum. Especially C with doc and tracker could turn out very easy in its favour.
Cop without RB would be quite deadly too.

Been out all day, need to lie down for a bit. Will comment in a bit.
Can someone explain how the setup deducing thing works, I'm not getting it. Is it like a logic grid?

There are 6 possible setups for this game, 1, 2, 3, A, B and C. By people's flips we'll be able to deduce which of the 6 setups is actually used in this game.

For instance, say someone dies, and they flip jailer. Then the setup must be either 1 or A. If a roleblocker then also dies, it has to be A.
