EVER BEEN IN A FIGHT?
Posts
I find that these stories are always pretty interesting.
As for myself, I haven't been in an actual fight in ages. Throughout high school and most of middle school, I was the friendly, charismatic dude that knew everyone and had problems with pretty much no one, and that's when I started to seriously work out, so physically I didn't have much to fear either. But before all that, when I was in elementary school, I was demure, shy, and pretty skinny. As a result, I was a pretty easy target to be picked on, but everyone has their breaking point, and I broke mines a lot.
I've gotten into a lot, a LOT of fights when I was younger simply on principle of being tired of being picked on over a period of weeks or even a few months. Needless to say, this led to a LOT of suspensions. Funnily enough, my mother never minded, because I never really 'started' them.
Me: Mom, I got suspended today.
Mom: What, why?
Me: Some dude was picking on me and I beat him with a chair.
Mom: Good.
Eventually as I got older my personality grew older as well and I got more outgoing and cool and all that, and I started working out, so by the time high school came around no one bothered me at all. Now in college no one believes me when I tell them stuff like this. I have specific stories you guys might find interesting if you want.
So, have you even been in a fight? Discuss.

Actually, no, not one that counts, i.e. not one that lasted long enough (or where either party was old enough) to have a clear winner or loser. And that is something I'm really sad about!
The only fights that I've ever had were when I was really little (middle school and earlier) and they were all very stupid.
Once in high school a fat kid three times my weight (and actually a good friend of mine) LITERALLY PUT ME THROUGH A WALL because I wouldn't stop making fun of him, but that was hardly a fight. I was just laughing the whole time because I had actually taunted him to the point of physical violence.
This is actually one of my biggest regrets in life, that I have never definitively won a fight. I think I'm definitely too old for it now because a.) come on guys, maturity and b.) when adults get into fights, they are I hope over something serious, which means that someone is going to get seriously fucking injured. Like I personally at this point would not fight someone I didn't want to at least MAIM.
If I don't get into one, though, I'll have to make up stories to tell my sons if I want them to grow up right.

No real fights (where people want to hurt eachother) but a LOT of really retarded amateur wrestling matches in high school that resulted in several concussions all around.
For Brandon: Except for all the women, children, and cute animals that I beat to a pulp on a daily basis.

The only fight I remember was a fist fight between me and a friend back in Junior High. Fight happened, we both got suspended for a week, parents weren't too happy (but I didn't throw the first punch so they weren't too angry), the first day after suspension we met up and apologized and every once in a while we joke about that stupid fight we got into.
The cause? We were screaming at each other and I accidentially got some saliva on him which he saw as spitting on him so he punched me in the face where I promptly punch him back.

I've only been in one fight and it happened about a year ago when i was coming home from work. I used to get in a few fights at school but nothing really big.
In 7th grade I was kicked out of school probably about 8 times. The longest was a week long suspension. A handful of those were due to fighting.
The fastest fight I got into was near the end of the school year. This other guy and a friend of mine were yelling at each other. I grabbed the other guy and threw him down onto my knee, directly into his ribs. He went out pretty fast. Unfortunately for me, there was a school administrator standing about 10 feet away who dragged me into the dean's office.
On the opposing spectrum, I was at a drinking fountain once when I got punched in the back of the head and fell over and was repeatedly kicked by this one dude.

Two of them. Both in middle school, and over silly little things I don't really even remember anymore. It was with the same guy, oddly enough! I won the first time, but lost the second, because he had some other random kid jump into it. =[
(Even more strangely, we were best friends in High School.)

Wow, you were about 25 then. That's an odd time to get into a fight. Was it like an attempted mugging or something? Details please!

Man I wish there was a video of this on YouTube.

I've been in fights like this since Im a big dude and I get teased for my weight and so when I ram someone into a locker and embed there head into the locker door and they laugh and taunt me saying it didn't hurt or something like that, it gets me even more pissed then i actually am. But naturally I don't like to fight, but as Feld said everyone has a breaking point.
No, actually I was laughing at the time but I did respect Mike more because he did make a ME-SHAPED IMPRESSION in a plaster wall. It was pretty awesome. :)
I actually started learning martial arts on 4th grade due to all the fights I got into. I had to pay for it myself, because mom's a BITCH, but it was well worth. I could describe my fighting style as "one punch".
I've only been in one fight in my entire life, back in Primary school
I was pointing at this dude calling him names and stuff and he bit my finger lol I was like
"WTF! Cannibal"
And then I kicked his ass, I was really mad lol

I know some drunken fist style but I rarely use that, I just do good ole dodge, combo, right fist, left fist, followed by an uppercut. Although an uppercut doesn't send them into the air, the first two punches leaves them off-balance while the last uppercut has enough power to either knock them over or at the least make them stumble, allowing you to do the combo again if they stumble back.
Not Tekken, otherwise I'd have explicitly stated "capoeira".

Since i am a manager i have to deal with a fucking lot of angry customers. One of them waited for me after work and started punching me as i was about to get into my car. Of course i fought back and he ended up resorting to biting into my arm and then ran for his life because i would have killed him for that.
I used to do street fights to represent my school and shit. Inly time Ive really been beaten up was when me an my brother and his mate were walking home a bit smashed(His mate was to drunk to walk let alone fight) and these guys stopped in their car and just started a fight with us and brothers mate ended up in the hospital and we just ended up with like black eyes and shit.
In total Ive been in about 8-9 fights in my lifetime. I like fighting, brings out the adrenaline in you and is honestly just something every man should experience atleast once in their life. You don't really know your limits or yourself in general if you haven't been in atleast one fight.
