I finished and submitted mine. I'll make a page here once the contest is completely done. I'm pretty sure I lost 20 years of my life...
Good luck, everybody!! I can't wait to see all of the entries.

Also got a project up - have fun!
The Pharaoh has died. Chaos rules the land. Gods and Goddesses choose their champions to face the trials of the gods and become the next rightful Pharaoh.
Which deity do you follow? Answer a series of questions to choose a god or goddess that matches your personality. Explore a system of dungeons and temples that are randomized each playthrough, so no two playthroughs are the same. Fight enemies that are based on how far you've gotten in the dungeon system, using skills granted by the gods themselves. Jump, run, throw, dodge, explore and think your way through a maze of switches, puzzles, traps, and riddles, while working towards becoming the new pharaoh.
Features -
True Active Time Battle, where enemies will attack you if you take too long to think about your actions!
Skill based battle actions - carefully time your attacks to inflict maximum damage.
Randomized dungeons - high replay value, since each playthrough will be different.
Unique puzzles and mechanics in each map, custom made for this special project.
Skill slot system - change your available skills, based on the equipped blessings from the gods.
6 different playable characters, each with unique play-styles and progressions.
Hours worth of dungeons to explore and replay.
Awesome spells and skills await your discovery!
Beautiful custom characters, maps, creatures and more!

So, I have something. It's not much. A tech demo. It's proof of concept and it looks the way I want the game to look. I even managed to write three songs for it in the final hours.
Voting period has started!
Can we get a masterlist of games by RMN users so that we can all check them out and vote for them?

This is my entry, Bail the Bounty Hunter. https://sjwebster.itch.io/bail-the-bounty-hunter
Between work, parenting, etc I didn't get to put as much time in as I'd have liked and several things ended up on the cutting room floor, with the game overall being about 20 minutes to half an hour long, but I'm confident I met the brief and we'll see what happens next.
@AkumuGames - Am I right in thinking you won last year? My first time entering, what's the judging process like?

@Sam: I somehow did lol.
Anything can happen, really. I would be lying if I said luck isn't a variable. But I suspect this year will be more difficult for those who make use of default assets as the judges are not the same and are most likely attracted towards pretty titles (since they arecasual gamers, not game developers like last year).
But honestly, it's just a fun event to participate in. I couldn't pass even after all that said.
Good luck!

This time was even harder than 2014 and 2017 for me, and both of those were agonizing. I'm just glad I finished. I gave it my all!
Didn't you do enough damage last year? Tsk tsk.

Well, our team submitted too. Will be sure to put up a RMN page too once I get my energy back. :D
I guess the good part of the IGMC is that it reminds me to return to RM once again after a long hiatus. Still, I can't help but feel that IGMC seems to be a smaller and smaller event every year. You guys think so too?
Remember back in 2015 everything was really good? There were lots of different awards, a whole site was setup, got vibrant review threads; we even got cheating, flame wars and scandals: It was very fun. I missed that.
In 2017 it was a lot quieter. And this year...wow...you can hear the crickets. Heck we're even missing Indrah'sShark Tank Best Games List.
I understand that Degica's a company and probably putting resources into a contest is costly and previous years probably didn't earn them the returns they expected so naturally they can only devote what resources they can this year. Still, I do think it's a little sad.
