I'll probably retreat into 2k3 and various TCG leagues for a month or so. But how bad is it that all I get in response to my dilemma irl is "Hell, try something else!" "TRY WHAT!?" "I don't know, you're the pimp*, not me."

Well what we're saying is that you are probably down in the dumps and you have every right to be and we understand that! I feel for you man. But we also just want to reassure you that you are still alive and still young and fertile (you probably produce like 9 million sperm per day!!).
I don't think I've ever had a real conversation with a girl around my age in my life. Damn you boys-only schools...

I've lived in the UK for 2 years now, so it would seem pretty strange to people that I had no friends that were girls/haven't gone to a "real" party ever, so if I just suddenly "jumped in the water..."

So here is the thing:
When you meet a girl it will always be an awkward mess 100% of the time. If you guys click, it will become an awkward and exciting mess. If you don't click, it will become an awkward and uncomfortable mess. You just sort of have to dive in and walk up to a girl you are interested in and be like Hello! It's fun; try it.

I love girls they are generally nice smelling and when they smile that is also nice.
Last night I went to my work Christmas Party (yay christmas) and I have a massive crush on this girl named Megan and she was there and I told her she looked pretty and she said "Thanks." and then she told me I looked pretty and I said "Heh, yeah, I know." (I did look really sharp.) And then we talked about dancing and how I don't dance because I don't like the way that people dance nowadays, and because I find it "uncivilized" to rub up against other people who you aren't exactly familiar with. She is the opposite, turns out she is the kind of girl who will grind a stranger and dive into the mosh pit and make out with the lead guitarist (an idea which I entertained for a moment considering I play guitar.... maybe get her tickets to the next show?) But seriously, she's not exactly the Mrs. Blitzen-type but still she is really pretty and I just liked the attention. And then we talked about screamo and I told her some bands I like and she told me some bands she likes... and then her boyfriend came by and stole her away.
I wasn't upset that she's taken or not really the kind of girl I'm looking for but I was rather satisfied that I got a chance to talk to her and get to know her a bit better, overcame my own neurotic fears of pretty girls, etc.

A few days ago my girlfriend came to me all 'We have to talk' and basically she didn't have her period when she was supposed to and my mind started to panic because I consider myself pretty good with birth control measures and I pretty much wanted to swear off sex forever.
However after a day and a pregnancy test later all was well. Has anyone ever experienced anything like that with either outcome?

Between the ages of 17 and 22 this subject (relationships with girls, I mean, not pregnoncy) steadily transitioned from being the thing I worried about MOST in my life (ages 17-20?) to the thing I worry about the least (now).
My girlfriend becomes absolutely convinced she's pregnant once a month like clockwork then her period comes. Knock on wood anyway.
Anyway, you know who has the worst luck with this ever? RowenFM1. The guy has unintentionally fathered like at least 5 KIDS he is supporting. And his history with venereal disease is far worse. He consistently attributed the ongoing vaporware status of his rm2k3 project(s) to this: his complete failure to have safe sex.
Who knows if he was even real though. The more I think about it, the more I become convinced he was just a figment of our collective imaginations.

Girlfriends have always been so paranoid about this for me. But same deal... period comes eventually and a sigh of relief ensues. As a teenager I was worried about the financial responsibility of being a parent, but nowadays it has swung heavily to worrying about having a enough time/energy.

I think any male who have ever had any sexual relations of any kind with a female have experienced this at one time.

Is it normal to be attracting alot of slutty girls in comparison to, well.. nice girls I guess you could say? My mojo only seems to work at attracting girls who'll throw sex at me (with varying degrees of attractiveness) but these usually aren't the kind of girls I could really form a relationship with. And the nice girls, well, things rarely work out there either. Hahaha...ha.
I guess things could be worse I could be getting attention from no girls but it's confusing and leaves me feeling really lonely!

Those don't last long. Some incredibly attractive woman will cross our path and I am left alone with my video games and internet.
The one relationship I took seriously lasted almost four years. We were supposed to get married last year--However, he fell for a coworker and left me. Must be for the best. He worked at GameStop, so he hooked up with a humorous, well liked, pretty FPS fan girl.
I was bitter about it, but I moved on because he was happy.
Those don't last long. Some incredibly attractive woman will cross our path and I am left alone with my video games and internet.
