RPGMAKER MAFIA FOR NORMAL PEOPLE GAME OVER [MAFIA]
Posts
@Jero: a null read on cap. I feel a lot more nervous now that he's been inactive for a few pages though.
So, twelve hours. I guess that's just enough for me to step in.
I didn't reacted to Tale's claim or any other claim. Tale's flavour focused list was fun but poorly informed (Space Funeral is a classic 2k3 game) and I had no reason to suspect him from fake claiming. This situation is basically self-resolving.
I find Jero's push on Demon quite good as Demon's reasons for voting Lizard were pure and him defending them was even worse.
Goodie points for OldPat, who noticed it too.
But while Demon's reason being of the flimsiest kind, they're not necessary coming from a wolf. Demon later jumping on Odd's puzzle and the two derailing the discussion for about a page makes it more difficult to read than anything else. What I like about Demon is that he likes to be in the thread and interact.
Jero still rubs me the wrong way with some stuff in his big post on page nine, but all of it might be nothing at all.
This is a bad post for multiple reasons. There are multiple cases of I'd be willing to switch there logic and her voting me for being more self-aware probably would win an award for wifom. I'm more self-aware because of the previous game and people piling on me for not getting jokes.
Alaskan's later presence is poor as well and she strangely, totally out of touch, reacted to Tale's claim on page 8.

@Fomar: Show us your working out if you don't want people to complain. Real math is proven math! Also going after people for still having joke votes alone doesn't really do much to narrow it down, like half of the people playing are doing that right now.
I don't see the case on LP at all. Although if they keep not posting very much I could support voting them to avoid scum winning by being quiet.
Cap makes me feel...suspicious. I've seen people call him out for not getting jokes, but he seems so much more self-aware about it now. It's a weird change, and I could see it happening because it's on purpose now. Also some of his posts like the "no worries, if you're town" feel kind of funky. Although I guess other people know his style better than me, and this must not be the strange part to them? It doesn't feel good to me.

I'm also willing to switch back to Demon. It feels like maybe he is holding to what started out as a joke to avoid seeming like he is getting on a bandwagon or copying other people's reads, and wants it to seem like it's sincere.

Okay, for potential teamwork I see:
odd and LP using the digital root game to derail the thread and force a demon lynch. (Not very likely since they stopped without anything having changed w.r.t. demon)
LP and OldPat bandwagoning on demon. Also OldPat defending LP w.r.t. her schedule. (But they were neighbourds last game, so the defending by itself isn't very strong)
odd and Emily both saying they're willing to switch to Cap but not yet committing.
@Psy, if you say you don't see Cap doing anything out of the ordinary, does that mean you townread him or nullread him?
Why are you on pre-flip associations already? If tale's the cop he probably gets nk'ed (and janitored for wifom extravaganza). If he's scum, we have one out.
what i wanted to say was that there's no need for them and you prolly stay alive to make them tomorrow.

It could be said that Jero constant shifting around is ultra suspicious. He wants to lynch me for joining a bandwagon (even though my reasonings on LP where stronger than his) but he is clearly just looking for an excuse to join a bandwagon himself and find someone to make look bad in front of the others. I had two votes last time I checked, so he's trying to best that as muvh as he can.
Demonlord's reasonings were weak, but I said I was gonna read more into things, as Demon's reading was very easily a day one kinda thing. Jero though looks ultra suspicious now for his constant shifting the blame around conveniently.
I know it looks like "revenge lynching" but

Shifting around is alright. Wolves tend to sit on their votes all phase long.
Can you elaborate on the bold? Right now it looks like you're waffling there.
odd, i think you're the only one, who haven't done any game solving or at least finger pointing so far. where are you at? Do you have some leads? Something pinged you? Do you find someone else's case appealing?
i think wolves are in:
odd, old, princess, jero, emily
tale, psy, fomar are my ride or die townleans for today.
Demon is a townlean but i'm not as convinced about him.
Old had some good stuff earlier on, but I hate the shady nature of his last vote.
Odd is difficult to sort out. It's possible that I'm missing something, he probably breadcrumbled something in his math.
Princess def not reacting great in her later posts. Also, while Demon looked genuinely interested in solving it, she just hanged around. Still minor plus points for doing that.
Jero stretched himself far and wide. He does a lot. Most of it is pro-town and he's not afraid to change his mind fast. Feels more like town to me.

#lynch Jeroen_Solhard for me to read demon's last post as anything but legit despite the poor LP case
what was your reason for voting jero here? Maybe I was too quick to put you in my town.

I did provide the calculations for checking upon being asked.
author=Lizardman_Princess
I'm between Fomar for weird math (though I get how it'd be a wierd thing to probably try to explain)
I did explain it but there had been enough mechanics and maths, it was time for actual scum hunting.
author=oddRABBIT
Uh. Let's play a game, shall we? Your prize will be rather boring, but hey, why not try it out?
V - 1
G - 2
1 - 3
M - 4
D - 5
L - 6
C - 7
O - 8
What's my digital root?
I'm not sure this is worth my time, it feels like a big attempt to distract from actual scum hunting but I'll indulge it briefly:
Starting with your name
O = 15
d = 4
d = 4
R = 18
a = 1
b = 2
b = 2
i = 9
t = 20
Summing them gives 75 and then again to get 12 and then a final time to get 3.
But you gave us a weird key so maybe we do each letter individually.
O = 6 = L
d = 4 = M
d = 4 = M
R = 9
a = 1 = V
b = 2 = G
b = 2 = G
i = 9
t = 2 = G
Which is nonesense. Maybe A=0 instead of A=1?
O = 14 = 5 = D
d = 3 = 1
d = 3 = 1
R = 17 = 8 = O
a = 0 =
b = 1 = V
b = 1 = V
i = 8 = O
t = 19 = 10 = 1 = V
Still nonesense, though the omission of 9 is perhaps more significant than originally thought, there were several lettter and number conversation tables for other number bases e.g. Chaldean.
O = 7 = C
d = 4 = M
d = 4 = M
R = 2 = G
a = 1 = V
b = 2 = G
b = 2 = G
i = 1 = V
t = 4 = M
Still nonesense. Maybe I shouldn't have iterated the digital root?
OddRabbit = 75 = CD
or
OddRaabit = 154418122920 = VDMMVO... leading to more nonesence.
I could try the Pythagorean system.
1 = a, j, s,
2 = b, k, t,
3 = c, l, u,
4 = d, m, v,
5 = e, n, w,
6 = f, o, x,
7 = g, p, y,
8 = h, q, z,
9 = i, r,
Oddrabbit = 6 + 4 + 4 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 9 + 2
LMM VGG G
or it becomes 39 = 12 = 3
I give up, this has been a collossal waste of time.
@Cap: I've kind of been mentally making notes of possible teamwork myself, it's not pointless. Mostly because it's more valuable to flip people with lots of interactions than those than just get piled on last minute.
re Jero: see https://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/25156/?post=905293#post905293 -- basically I think he realized he was picking up heat and went for Demon when he slipped on LP -- Demon's case looked bad but not all that scummish
I don't think "pre-flip associations" are bad, I've sort of been paying attention to "x and y definitely aren't on the same team" stuff, if just because the more information in a D1 kill the better.
I don't know what to make of the digital root thing, and really doubt it was a ploy by scum for other scum to appear to be participating. That would look really bad if one of them went down. If Odd is scum, I doubt LP+DL are.

Ah, right. Get back on track, everyone. I'll answer any question not related to digital roots.
You derail all scum-hunting for a whole page and then have the nerve to say that?

No idea right now, uh, I do think Demonlord's whole with Lizardman_Princess thing is weird, but I'm chalking it up to them being not very familiar with Lizardman_Princess' playstyle.
My vote towards OldPat was a joke, mostly. Dunno if I cancelled it or not, but I might as well keep it there for now. I remember someone thinking I was onto something, but I doubt that immensely, so maybe look into the person who thought it was something? Can't recall who, though.
Was it tale who claimed cop? I can't counterclaim it, so I guess I'm treating it as if it's real until otherwise proven wrong, or at least challenged somehow.
That's my thoughts for now, at least.
How can any of us be familiar with Lizardman_Princess's playstyle this is their second game here? Also this feels like Odd's scum game, say one thing then offer a reason to cover the opposite. Also not knowing who claimed cop is just bad.
author=Cap_H
Alaskan's later presence is poor as well and she strangely, totally out of touch, reacted to Tale's claim on page 8.
I mean, that's flatly untrue. I was directly responding to Odd's thoughts on it. I literally quoted the post above mine.
Demon still doesn't feel great to me (I'm not sure how his claim helps much either way since it's so safe). I also don't really like the whole math puzzle in the middle of the thread, but it doesn't particularly seem like a deliberate attempt to distract by scum (or if it was, it wasn't a very good attempt).
I don't think it's that bad. And there is still the doctor, and they know who to save now. I also don't understand how any of these things you are calling wifom are wifom related...

Okay, I'll have to admit, it was certainly a lynch that I gave at the heat of the moment.
It's just that I saw a similarity in both Demon's and Jero's lynch with that of LockeZ during the last game we had (he turned out to be scum there). In the last game we had, LockeZ picked on LP because she was the easier target, as she was having trouble not only keeping up with the game but also with her schedule (and she was a newbie).
As Jero himself said, we were a pair in the last game, so I was aware on when she picked up or not (by comparing when she answered to me through private topic VS public Mafia topic). But it's something everyone could see anyway.
Jero himself knows about both mine and her schedule. I also told him through Discord chatting that I was gonna get back to work again before the second game of Mafia began. Hence he was aware of my unavailability. Voting me for that felt like an "opportunity voting" more than a scum hunting kinda thing.
Hence why him suddenly shifting the blame on me looked odd. And I already had two votes right there, so it was kinda easy to suddenly make my lynch become "trending". Cap said before that Jero was following trend way too much. It looked as if he wanted to pick on a ... not-that-much-suspicious one with his vote on me.
I take back the "stronger reasoning" part though. After all, most of what Jero said is the same thing I said. Only I also added the part about LP's scheduling. It felt strange that someone would go after me after a reasonable reading just because I was "riding a bandwagon". Especially when you got much more easier reads for scum right there.
We got Odd, voting people for no reason at all, even saying he didn't have one and we got Demonlord going for a lynch because a joke hasn't been answered to and using as reason something that was already proven and disregarded in the last mafia game we had (imo, not enough reason for LP to be scum).
I will take my time to do some more readings. I got time to catch up, now.
For now, both Cap and Psy looks town to me, in lack of other readings, as they are pretty much on costant alert and their playstyle for now isn't differing from that of the last game (in which they both were townies).
