hi
i dont know if this is the right place to ask,if not please move it to the right sub forum
i'm looking for rpg maker games that have a base building element to it (like taking over a damaged castle and making into a fully functional one, or a town and so on), however i want the game to have a good story to in, and be somewhat long to play like 20+ hours
thank you

The Suikoden series tend to have a base-building mechanic. The bases in the series don't as-so-much get repaired as they are expanded as you recruit the 108 Stars of Destiny. Therefore, I'm going off my knowledge of what Suikoden fan-games exist.
Legion Saga probably tops off the lists for the user-base here. I've not personally played any of them, so I have no idea how long it plays for. However, it has two sequels.
Suikoden - A New Destiny looks like Suikoden 2, plays like Suikoden 2, but aims to have an alternate story. It's only a demo right now, but, last time I played the demo, wow. Just wow.
I need to play Suikoden Stories - Reminicse again. There were a few things that felt off to me when I did play it, but, that might be in part because it takes some of it's cues from Suikoden Tierkreis than the main-line series. I never got around to finishing it, so, I have no idea how long it might take to play it.
Obviously, I need to shill my own Baclyae Revolution, which is a humble tribute to the Suikoden series. My best guess is that it takes three or so hours to play. However, it still has a lot of the bells and whistles that a Suikoden game would have.
*Edit: Seems like this should go into the Videogames subform to me. Consider it moved.
