FIGHT FEST IV: THE WARRIOR'S HEART
Posts
Welcome to the BATTLEDOME!!!
This is an event I ran almost a decade ago over on RPGMaker.net (RMN). It was a ton of fun, and I thought instead of Inktober, I'll do a companion comic to this event!
Check that out HERE.

Fight Fest is a battle arena where user-submitted characters duke it out in make-believe battles; and YOU decide who wins!
The victor will move on in the brackets, and that's it! The comic that runs concurrently will be influenced by the voting, and character progression. Read along, or come back after the event and binge!
Without any further ado, let's get to this...
THE RULES
1. Don't be rude to each other
2. #MAKE YOUR VOTE CLEAR AS POSSIBLE!
3. Speculation is cool! State your case or build your imaginary fight if you want. It's so awesome when people chime in with their two cents.
4. Enjoy the show! Regardless of who wins, this is going to be fun! Enjoy whether you vote or not! :)
5. Turbo Moves are accessed when a special bar has been filled up in the imaginary battle. It's a finishing move, or desperation attack.

Hmmm... This is a tough one to judge. O.R.B.8 appears somewhat unpredictable, given that orb-fu is relatively unknown. However, Doug's copy ability may give him the edge he needs. It will be very difficult to grapple a ten foot orb, but maybe that tat blast may do some damage? Meanwhile, O.R.B.8 has all sorts of bells and whistles, and I'm not even sure what would be the best strategy against it.
I'll have to put my vote in for O.R.B.8 in this matchup.

I wonder how the heck does Doug steal ORB's specials, does he rips off pieces of it? Like, rips his "kick" when it opens it, and uses it against it.
Or does it mean just stealing the special bars?
Spectra has lightning powers and Springlock has grabby limbs, a cool scythe, and a degree of timespace manipulation.
In this match, I feel it will all come down to wit, positioning, and mind games. I am unsure how much range Spectra's lightning has, or how much close combat is required to make them feel necessary. Springlock I feel would have the upper hand in middling quarters, being able to hold an opponent in a few different ways to get some good hits in. Scythes (especially big ones) are largely midrange, which may provide an opening if Spectra can cross the threshold to too close range.
It really depends upon focus on the moment here. I'm unsure who to vote for, so I'll leave that an open question unless I make up my mind later.

let's see here... looks like it's a fight of fire against fire. Knowing just how strong kangaroos can be, and the fact that this one can stand the heat on a regular basis, I feel like Sulphur is gonna get kicked to cinders pretty quickly.
This is a clear win for Bikuta, barely even a contest.

Bikuta
Sulphur might seem like having the upperhand on endurance, but Bikuta will have the least trouble keeping the pressure over the enemy. Sulphur will have to outwit his enemy to manage to hit a thing that moves so fast it burns. Also fire resistance/immunity.

That was an intense tug of war between Bikuta and Sulphur!
Bikuta 9
Sulphur 6!
It came down to the wire!

Hnnnnngghhhhh crackhead or Thoren.
I'll vote Thoren. I know Lavy nerfed them for this xD.

Crackhead with pills doesn't do it for me xD. I think Boy Billy has too many uh buff/debuff skills (?). Also healing can get overpowered in fighting games. Problem is that I kinda feel like he's lacking punch besides the turbo which seems like might be a crazy strong attack. Bonus points for cute racoons tho. :'3
Thoren on the other hand has more consistent skills, maybe a bit on the safe side. But I also expect them to be naturally resilient thanks to being an android.

Alright, so Thoren's up against florida man?
Yeah, Thoren could easily take him, even with the drugs and the pet raccoon.
Thoren's main asset within this moveset is the range they have available. Boy Willy appears to rely on mostly close quarters and the inability to feel pain in the heat of the moment. While the raccoon toss may wind up being a trip-up, Thoren could easily return to sender with a little slap-chop action. Even if that guy keeps swinging through blazing heat, he's bound to get worn down eventually from extended direct fire exposure.
In a battle of raw ferocity versus calculated precision, the one best built for battle will remain.
(also wow, Thoren's got some cake! Certainly an upgrade they'd consider at some point!)

I'll vote Milo. But heck I kinda also want to see Bananas continue xD.
Oh I don't want to do this but Milo might actually have some valid counters for Banana's attacks, like the stick spin. At the same time if Bananas was aware of the fight she could probably dodge all of her attacks I guess? That's something idk how far would take her.
So yeah, my main thing is idk how far the smol unaware thing would take Bananas.
