WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?
Posts
post=Feldschlacht IVYes.
I'm still playing Fallout New Vegas.
Nothing else can quite compare. This game is amazing.
There aren't a huge bevy of quests, but exploring is rewarding and fun.
Skill management is also more imperative and less of a pain in the ass. Much more than just an expansion to the Fallout series.
4/24 characters cleared on SW2 now. I'm FINALLY getting used to having to guard and roll more in this one compared to the DW games, making it more awesome than them.
Also currently playing an alcoholic FO3 character, once I found an ISO to replace my screwed up disc. Died twice, once to a bullet to the head, and the other from an Asploding car. Now wondering what mods for non-DLC'd FO3 I should hunt for.

CociCookie: You HAVE NOT experienced the Wasteland until you have played FO3 with hunger/sleep/thirst and deadly combat mods. It's terrifying. Raiding supermarkets isn't just a quest or random area now - it's an absolute necessity to sneak in and not die just to... not die from starvation/thirst/etc. Seriously, I've spent an incredibly tense two hours just quietly snitching a few items, killing a single raider, looting his corpse, then RUNNING THE HELL AWAY since taking on more than guy at a time is suicide.
Because of some of the following mods, the only way I could survive this was - on a character with no addictions, since I never used any substances prior - by taking every single drug in my inventory. I then ran, high and drunk to the gazillionth degree, through the entire schoolhouse in the first deserted town, dodging at least ten pissed raiders. That was adrenaline, baby.
Use these:
Fallout 3 Nexus This is where you get your mods.
Arwen's List Don't know about FO3, but Arwen introduced me to lots of cool stuff for Oblivion
Fallout 3 Nexus This is an amazing overhaul, simply put (read the readme).
Extreme Realism These make the game absolutely enthralling. Real Injuries and Primary Needs are horrifyingly sadistic, meaning that they make the game incredibly fun. Adverb adjective!
There's also a nifty motorcycle mod out there; it turns off fast travel, except for when you finally build and fuel/repair a motorcycle that allows it. It adds even more feeling to the Capital Wasteland.

Fun with Put It In Its Place (enhanced grabbing and better shopkeeper AI), and...

despite my hatred of Bethesda's "it ain't fun till it's broke/modded" game design policy, this sounds awesome
Been playing Z.H.P: Unlosing Ranger Vs. Darkdeath Evilman!
You got some Roguelike in my Disgaea! You got some Disgaea in my Roguelike!
Really though, I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. Took a while to arrive to Canada, but I'm really enjoying it so far.

Never mind I don't like Theresia.
Trying that crazy game about a cursed game where you can play the game in the game.

Bought mesel' a copy of Oblivion (No expansions) for the PC, just so I have a copy of my own (The PS3 GotY is technically my brother's). I'll buy the expansions eventually, when they get in stock and I have more money (Running out =/= good) but this is mostly for modifications, aswell as the fact I tend to like PC controls more for First person games.
So i think tonight's gonna eb a swap between that and more Power Fisting in FO3

CociCookie, the GotY PC edition of Oblivion, with the expansion Shivering Isles and the DLC Knights of the Nine is $20.
Anyway, I suggest perusing Arwen's List! Also, look up any article about "make it prettier," but use Qarl's Texture Pack 3 (QTP3) instead of Jerrod's.
http://amito.freehostia.com/Oblivion/OB-mods.htm
Note that a lot of the cool mods require Shivering Isles.
You NEED the following:
Oblivion Mod Manager - OBMM lets you turn files off easily and install omods using the handy "create" button on any archive/folder with omod conversion data in it. omods are super-easy to configure and install/uninstall; deactivating them will take out textures and everything, so it's particularly good for graphical tweaks
Better Oblivion Sorting Something - I just know this as BOSS. You put it in your Oblivion/Data folder and double-click it and it'll sort all of your mods into a load order that won't freak out
Oblivion Script Extender - OBSE replaces your .exe as the way you load the game (and OBMM will recognize it if you use OBMM to run Oblivion). It's a requirement for many, many mods. You must use the CD/DVD if you use OBSE, but it's worth it
Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul - OOO and optionally Martingen's Monster Mod (MMM) are amazing overhauls that adjust leveled lists to be, well... leveled, not scaling eternally
I also strongly recommend Deadly Reflexes for engaging combat and Tamriel NPCs Revamped. Search for them on tesnexus.com. Make sure you get the omod version of TNR for the sake of disabling it if you decide it's ugly! You might also want to check out the Race Balancing Mod as it totally revises the way races are different from each other, and makes greater powers actually worth a damn.

If it comes to it I'll buy that, along with the GotY edition of FO3, just like I did with Morrowind (Which reminds me, I need to install that on this system too) Only it won't be any time soon as I'm just about gonna last from now to the start of 2nd Semester on whatever cash I've got left due to weekly bus passes, food and Epic Mickey.
EDIT: FO3 is built off the Oblivion engine right? so it's graphics should be around the same quality correct? 'cause that game auto set it to Ultra high and this one picked Low... O.o

Got Legend of Heroes - Zero No Kiseki in the mail today. Playing it now on Nightmare mode on my first play through.
Coci, Oblivion is screwed up in general in terms of picking graphical settings. I played Mass Effect 2 at its highest settings, and when I install Oblivion it auto-sets quality to medium. =P
Me?
Z.H.P: Unlosing Ranger Vs. Darkdeath Evilman! (your Roguelike'd Disgaea)

I've seen that on the computers in the gaming lab at Uni. Been wondering what the hell it was for a while but never had a chance to check xd
You take control first of a moe-some gal named Recette, 'cuz her dad left alot of debt while he's in some epic adventure. Now, Recette came up with an item shop so that she can pay all the debts, with the help of a fairy named Tear.
I'm playing Silent Hill Shattered Memories and Homecoming. Next it's Restless Dreams (again). :)
