WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?

Posts

In some strange nostalgia-fueled craving, I started up a new playthrough of Atelier Iris 2 last night. It's really funny to see how much influence this game had on the first game we made.

Hoorah for the time when PS3s still had backwards compatibility <3

After sitting on my hands for a while, I finally beat Donkey Kong 64. Granted, I only got 181 golden bananas, 8 of the battle arena crowns, and I'm still probably a good 100-200 regular bananas off from the total, but hell, I got the 20 banana fairies and put K.Rool in the ground. I'm fucking done.

EDIT: Scratch that, I came back. Now I've got 199 golden bananas, all normal bananas and all the battle arena crowns, but I'm losing the fight against 101% completion. Of course the last two bananas I'd need would be two bouts of Beaver Bother at Creepy Castle... I... I just don't have it in me anymore.

Got back into Spore: Galactic Adventures recently. I kind of have a love-hate relationship with that game as a whole. I love the depth it has and creating your own creatures is fun, but some game-breaking bugs and a lack of desirable features bring it down.
I am currently playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the first time. Although It can be beat in about 10 hours, there is plenty of content to keep you playing for a long time. This game is just exploding with imagination, depth, and nostalgia and I see why people love this game so much. The music is top notch and this could be the best platformer I've ever played. It is also pretty difficult at times even for veteran players like myself. The life bar was reduced from 8 to 3 and you get hit often, so this is a huge step up in challenge for the series.
I've been caught in some weird video game limbo where i play random games for an hour or 2 and then by the next gaming session, switch to a new one.

so after red dead redemption, i played some MGS Peace Walker (never played iy before), then i finally broke 100 years in Tokyo Jungle with a rabbit (it's actually piece of cake after the first time), then i played some Dynasty Warriors 6, and finally my recently bought The Warriors from PSN.
Wild Arms 3! ... including walking around in circles for four hours so I could get like... 150 Dragon Fossils and three Baselards. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BREAKING GAMES i'm sorry. ;w;

And also Animal Crossing.

Oh, gwd, WILD ARMS 3!!!

Another case of the "where in the holy hell do I go" syndrome. Ugh, no thanks... I'll stick with the original one and Wild Arms 4.
That's why you talk to EVERY NPC and like, I dunno, remember or write down what directions they tell you? I literally haven't had any problems finding things personally. :\
congrats, i imagine you've spent countless hours to achieve that?

i remember back in junior high few of my friend went real competitive with red alert 2. They literally spent all their waking hours on the game to stay in world top 20. They would go home during lunch breaks to start a game and build an army the opponent couldn't match while they themselves returned to school and left match going.
I was in the top 20 world rankings of the original Command & Conquer 95 at one point (11th I think). Fun times.

I'm replaying the Ace Attorney games for, like, the billionth time: Currently I'm on Justice For All, and have just finished the 2nd case.

Man, 2-2 held a shedload of promise, especially with regards to the whole switcheroo thing in the end. Unfortunately there were so many flaws in the case that it's objectively-speaking probably the worst one in the series to date.
I'm playing Ys II on nightmare mode. So far I've beaten Ys I, Ys VII and Ys origin. All of them were on nightmare mode and I'd say that Ys VII was the best and the hardest.

To be a top 20 player in Starcraft you basically have to either:

a) Be Korean
b) Live in Korea

=(

This was also back in like 1997 when there were only like 3500 ranked C&C 95 players worldwide.
I'm trying out Dishonored right now. I'd like to assassinate people more, but then a few seconds later rat swarms always come out of nowhere when I do it seems. :/
