WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?
Posts
Just finished Xenogears,Disc 1 was amazing disc 2 was fucking gay(but short so we cool).
I'm thinking of playing xenosaga, but, since disc 2 of xenogears was so crap I really don't feel like playing it anymore.
As for what I should play next,I'm deciding between megaman zero collection,Dragon Quest 7,Dragon Quest 8 or Wild Arms 5.If your bothered to answer which would you recommend?

I got into the Final Fantasy XIV beta, so I'm just waiting for the next scheduled time to give it a go. Been getting into a lot of betas lately, Need for Speed World, Onlive, which BTW gave me 12 months free and a free game, but sadly I don't live in America so I can't log into Onlive even if I wanted to.
Got bored of Suikoden, went back to Persona 2: Innocent Sin which isn't as bad as I first thought. Just WAY too many random encounters.
I am playing Warcraft 3 and enjoying its (possible) final moments before sc2... well... kills it (possibly)
starcraft would have been 3D had it been made years later, not sure why you'd have a problem with that. Anyway without LAN it sucks. Enjoy activision ruining everything.
edit: Also I can't wait to this some more

Take the DQ 7.
So I started up a new game of Dwarf Fortress in an old previously generated world. Going for a challenge, (i.e. a quick painful death), I embarked in the inhospitable tundra, in a TERRIFYING biome. Also, I embarked right over an obsidian tower, barely (barely!) surviving to get inside one of the two towers, the taller of the two. The second tower has since then had it's entrance blocked off with a conglomerate wall. Oddly, about during the middle of summer, the majority of goblins had ?spontaneously combusted? died off mysteriously. The only ones left now are all the ones with high attributes, goblin priests and high level guards and such.
At the very bottom (inside the Arctic Wastes) in about the middle area, lies the outpost Gishdistbiban Nekiknashondakonezneth. The exact area it covers is that purple dot with the gray border under the name.
Warning, obscenely large heavily detailed image (though without a proper key)!: http://www.randomavatarselector.tk/toc/The World of the Relon Torir.png
Ground floor of the occupied obsidian tower:
Second floor of the occupied obsidian tower (some workshops, kitchen, and dining hall):
Third floor of the occupied obsidian tower (some workshops, and most of the quarters):
Top floor of the occupied obsidian tower (yet to be actually used for anything, I don't have very many marksdwarves):
The front gate:
Also
???
I hope it stays friendly!
I'm currently working on getting through the aquifer, and flooding an area to start farming in.

I have it on good authority that StarCraft 2 will suck.
hint: no LAN, and it is in 3D
That's why I said "possibly", but a lot of people complain about imbalance and how wc3 is old, and blah, then comes the people saying "SUCK MY BALLS, BNET2.0! NO LAN AND I NEED THIS LOAD OF RAM TO PLAY STARCRAFT 2?! DIE! HAHAHAHAHAA!!!"
I really don't know, but something tells me that Warcraft is gonna live. Until Blizzard/Activision does something.
ALL HAIL WARCRAFT 3!
Oh, and I'm playing Brawl xD. Two years already!
I hated Warcraft 3. Fuck hero units and micromanaging.
In RTSs I like handling squads of units, not spellists and crap on individual units. I didn't much like that in Starcraft, either, so I played as the Zerg to minimize the amount I needed to do. *builds 12 hyrdalisks*
Also, 3D interfaces for RTSs are almost universally shitty, since it is so important in those games to be able to quickly recognize what is going on and select units to react, but in 3D games all the units look the same and particle effect vomit inevitably obscures everything.

I loved warcraft 3 for the custom online mini games like tower defence, life of a peasant, farmer vs hunter, Battle Ship/Ship Battles, Murder at the X, Zombie Outbreak, and that troll survivor game. I think my friend bought WC3 just to play them. I don't think he even played through the actual campaign.
I'll agree with Darken - Warcraft 3 is, imho, the pinnacle of rts games. NOT ONLY were there a veritable CORNICOPIA of strategies to be employed hero/unit combinations in battle, race interplay for 2v2 matches, plus the addition of new heroes and neutral hereos in the well-loved expansion - But it had a level editor SO VERSATILE that you could make a RACING game with it - or pretty much whatever you wanted out of it - even rpg's! Truly, the level editor that came with the game has yet to be topped.
And that's to say nothing of the extremely well crafted campaign missions, that were always varied and ful of interesting puzzle ideas.

Conicopia of strategies? Seriously? All undeads ever go is fiends. All Night Elves ever go are bears and dryads. All orcs ever go is Blademaster. All Humans ever go is fast expand and build shitloads of units.
But yeah, Wc3 was only made popular since it was an innovation. Starcraft 2 is basically the same thing as Starcraft, except with ramped up graphics and like, 2 new units. I will stand here and watch Starcraft 2 fail. Besides, it's rated Mature in Korea, anyway. But the latest Warcraft 3 patches have really ruined the game in terms of balance, besides, trying to balance four races and about 28 heroes isn't easy.
Warcraft 3, still, is one of the best RTS games ever, unless you're like kentona, who hates micro.

You have plenty of options, and units that complement different heroes. Just because the online play-style doesn't avail itself to them doesn't mean they aren't there. Playing with a friend is much more fun and satisfying.
I wish I was a bit more familliar with the other races - I've always wanted to use my banshee to possess another race's builder units, and try and come up with a good army mix, but while I love RTS games, I suck at them for the most part :P

Is this in high levels of play?
