WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?

Resident Evill 4's actual horror, was when you first buy, unpack and play for the first time.
I first played it GC and i ran out of Handgun ammo VERY FAST, found the Shotgun, wasted its ammo, then died 10 times by Chainsaw. Since i had never seen or played a game where the main guy's head gets cut off by a chainsaw, well i nearly crashed thru the ceiling when it happened. it seemed like it was going too fast...

The big difference between RE4 and RE5 was RE4 actually HAD horror. Even if it was more early on. RE5, on the other hand, starts off by showing off your steroid user character, Chris Redfield, and his (better than him while keeping a slender figure) partner, Sheva Alomar, kicking non-zombie mutant ass. And the game is far too easy. At least in RE4 there was a fear of dying.
That can get totally inverted on higher difficulty levels and by playing alone with the somewhat dumb AI, aswell as not using infinite ammo.
Though if I'll be honest I thought RE4 is scarier than 5, but that's 'cause in 4 I couldn't go back and improve my weaponry from constant cash grinding, which eventually got me enough cash to max my SMG, pickup enough ammo and therefore pass the 2 Chainsaw enemies in Chapter 3-Whatever, and instead I had to fight Salazar with lots of running round, knifing those little enemies on the lower section, and blasting minimal amounts of ammo into him at a time.
As for playing Cursed Mountain, I've currently died 3 times so far. Twice against the Shrine ghost boss's amazingly strong projectiles (A good 3-4 times stronger than their common counterpart's attack) and once falling off a balance beam, which was positioned a little bit above the floor I'd climbed upto it from. Damn you instant death!

post=156119post=156106"super" FFXII? :P
how come you didn't try the super FFXII?
I played it once about 35 hours in a few years back and stopped at Golmore Jungle. I lost my save so I need to start over. Don't want to start it just yet since I'm planning on working my way through the SNES series (FFIV-FFVI) once I'm done with FFX and FFXIII. Looking forward to playing FFXII though; it's been long enough that I've almost forgotten everything that happens up to that point, so it's going to feel fresh.
Golmore jungle was still far from the end, if i am remembering it right ;p
Yeh, it's sad, and obviously no one will spend another 30+ hours doing wht he has done.. ;(

Obviously because you can't AIM well ;) That red line is hard to get used to it when we just started to play it ;)
Exactly my point!
Yeah, the only times I actually died were by accident, (or when there were giant, mutated gatling-gun wielding guys, giant axe-wielding guys, chainsaw guys, etc...) even on my first playthrough. The constant availability of the shop made it wayyyyyy too easy.
On Professional you die too much and on Veteran you barely die at all. What are Amateur and Normal modes for, 6-year olds?
I think they only have Amateur so you can Beat the game in 5 hours, thus unlocking the Infinite Rocket Launcher.

~3 hour run for the whole "take off the suit ending" or? :P
Can't say a thing about Metroid Other M because I don't have a Wii.
Other M and Demon's Souls.
I am fully pleased with Other M, it's like they took the best from both new and old games.
Demon's Souls is just being a bitch.

i finally managed to connect today. it's a little fiery in there, eh?
what's still in tact is pretty rad, though. i'll bet the place looked amazing before whatever happened, happened.
my username is cactusmaster, i'll say hi when i see you. :v
So I decided to sign up for the 7-Day trial for City of Heroes. It's been pretty fun so far, gotten upto lvl 5 out of the max of 14 for the trial.
They definately aren't kidding when they said that the character customization is extremely large! In anycsae, I'm playing a Archer/Energy Manipulator. I was checking the pwoers out and those allow me to make a character close to one I designed a couple days back outta randomness, with a couple changes.
Somehow, I think I'll end up subscribing this when I finally get a job, which hopefully will be soonish, theres a custom-built computer with my name on it!.
Now I think I'll get to bed like I meant to an hour or so ago... damn my Uni's Fresher's Fortnight for starting tomorrow! :(

RE (the original), Chris's scenario, and I'm ready to kill myself.
The introduction to Resident Evil consists of the characters saying "What is this?" 714 times.
post=199920You just picked one of the coolest MMOs out there. Too bad the community is a bit smaller than, oh say, WoW.
