WHAT VIDEOGAMES ARE YOU PLAYING RIGHT NOW?
Posts
Also playing Valkyrie Profile, loving the battle system, hating the voice acting :D
Few questions tho':
1) When I got Lewa.... uhm the archer guy who his 18 and still sounds like a girl, he had 2 AP, and could attack twice, and suddenly, he only has 1, what happened?
2) What happens if I keep the artifacts I find instead of sending them to Odin?
3) One time when I could do special attack, all 4 party members could do it, but after I used it with one of them and could do it once more, only 1 of the 3 remaining party members had his button flashing and could do it, what prevented the others from doing it?
4) What are magic gems for?
Anyone can asnwer these? Thanks in advance.

1) Check his weapon. Press TRIANGLE and then SQUARE while highlighting a weapon to display its stats. Those numbers down in the left-hand corner of the information window display the # of attacks you're able to execute. At least it's very similar to this anyway, lol.
Looks like:
1_O 2_O 3_O
or
1_X 2_X 3_O
or
1_O 2_X 3_X
etc.
2)Nothing, really. Your evaluation level is lowered. When it reaches 0, you'll obtain the C (bad) ending.
3)During the special attack, the party member performing it has to charge up the bar on the bottom left-hand side again with combos. If it fills, you'll be able to perform another special attack.
Also, only characters who helped build up the special attack gauge can perform one of their special abilities.
4)The ones you get in battle? The balls recharge CT. The actual jewels/diamonds you get from enemies give more EXP after battle.

Aaah that clears up few things, thanks for the quick reply :D
After playing around a bit I figured that the reason he couldn't do 2 attacks anymore was because his weapon broke (goddamn developers, I HATE when they add item breaking in their games, making me NOT want to use them), which I didn't even notice. I now buy spare version of weapons when I shop.
Also, figuring out the skill system, spending CP all over the place, and just a moment ago I noticed you can also spend them to change character traits for better hero level... argh, still don't understand a few things, but hopefully I will figure them out in the long run (imho they could have extended the tutorial a little, but I guess many issues are solved by having the manual)

Oh man, besides LSD for the Playstation, this is the most weird game I have ever played in my life. But... theres one game on the Playstation it's called poed or something like this. In this game, asses (lit.) with legs are your worst enemy.

After goofing around playing other people's RM games, I've decided to pick back up my Final Fantasy 9 save I start some months ago that cut off at the beginning of Lindblum on Disk 1 and start playing that again. Over these past couple of days, I've managed to get up to Pinnacle Rocks in Disk 2.
Oh man I need to go back to FF9 too. I was playing it on my PSP fairly steadily for a while and got up to the Black Mage Village before I just stopped playing. Thanks for reminding me about that game!
for some reason i got the urge to play a shining force game, so i'm gonna play Shining Force CD if i can get the emulator working properly 8]
So I just finished Valkyrie Profile with the "B" ending, and I have to say... I feel jipped! There's no way anyone could possibly think that was the real ending, unless they also thought the developers just gave up trying half-way through the game. Lol.
"Yay, you won! Here's the credits."
I'll probably replay it again on Hard at some point in the future, but for now I'm in the process of finishing Star Ocean (SNES), and then I'm moving on to Star Ocean: The Last Hope (XBOX360).

author=Ephiamyou might want to not do that
and then I'm moving on to Star Ocean: The Last Hope (XBOX360).
a mage joins you just before the first boss battle and his default AI setting is "just fucking run at the thing"
also every AI setting is "just fucking run at the thing"
and the "fun & frenetic" battle system is really just dull & monotonous
Still tryin' to finish Chrono Trigger for VC. I have beaten it senseless over the many wonderful years, but I thought I would give it another go. I finally got my first chance in 5 weeks to play it, again, since I've been pretty busy, as of late. Just got the Masamune and getting ready to take on Magus! :D
I also never realized how HARD this game can be, sometimes. I miss my New Game+ file *cries*.

Finally, inFamous 2. It arrived today, and I am already loving it much more than the first, they really took what was good and added cool new things, and polished it all..... Bravo Sucker Punch, looking forward to their next game. And I don't understand the people whining about the new voice actor, his voice fits Cole perfectly.
Currently playing the following:
* Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Ages
* Shining Force (GBA version)

Replaying Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen for what feels like the thousandth time. I have the original Playstation version that Atlus distributed and am playing it on my PS3.
I don't like a lot of the unnecessary changes that they made (rendering the battlefield 3D rather than keeping it 2D, changing a lot of sound effects into ones that sound much worse, etc.) but it's still a lot of fun to play. The SNES version is my favourite game of all time, and this port is fairly faithful so it's not that bad.

author=SmileWithStyleit's mostly because the voice doesn't sound the same ever

like the guy doing the new voice will sometimes imitate the old voice, sometimes do something different, sometimes just be nasally and annoying
for real, it never sounds the same twice in a row

Well, they fired the first one because of something he did IIRC, and while some people might not like the fact that it's different, I don't mind, and IMHO his new looks and voice fit the setting. New Marais is much more colourful, as is Cole, in the first game everything was dark, there was like 1 sunny day, and the whole city (and cole himself) was gray and bland, not to mention Cole in the first game was pretty dark and rough character, even when playing with good karma. He sounded more badass, I admit.
Anyways, since I got my friend to play DF, I'm back into it, and with Dwarf Therapist it's really easier to keep track of dwarves and their labors. He already experienced some of the crazy details in the game, like his woodcutter lost his axe, took off all his clothes and then died of thirst even though there was enough water. No idea why though :D
Finally getting the hang of Mirror's Edge. Best part about this game is how you don't have to restart an entire level whenever you do something stupid like jump off a building.
Also I'm suddenly really interested in parkour...
