Kinda random BUT
is there any way to get rid of that stupid autobattle feature in RM2k and RM2k3
It defeats the purpose of even playing an rpg maker game and it's stupid
It's not like in dragon quest where you can command everyone to attack or cast
It's dumbed down to stupid level
Dunno if that can be done

By all means, use Maniacs Patch, but you don't need it for this. In your Battle Screen tab in your Database, go down to "Battle Screen Interface", you'll see Type A, Type B, and Type C. The Type B and Type C interfaces both use the Auto feature. You're set to Type C by default. Type A does not. If you don't want the auto-battle choice, simply switch to Type A. However, if you prefer the appearance of Type B or C (Type B is essentially the same as Type A, except the information window is transparent and it has Auto-Battle), then absolutely, this Maniacs command is for you.

I did wonder about that with ascii and enterbrain, like why you make an autobattle feature. Why.
I guess logically, is there a feature that would let you command a party to attack all, cast all, defend all, or item all? That would be a LOT like DQ. I would not know how to do that though.
Though, I tried it out on an rpg maker 2003 project, and I applied both patches, one to a project, then to rpg maker 2003, with autobattle not selected in an event before a battle initiates, and the autobattle is still there when I test battle.

There's all these cool things now, like FINALLY BATTLE ANIMATIONS FOR BASIC ATTACKS. THANK. GOODNESS. Rm2k3 is now almost, like a newer RPG Maker. Though that strange problem still doesn't add up. Like why. I guess I'd have to read on how everything else is supposed to work. Idk.

Allows for activating/deactivating specific options to choose from in the combat menu. It works only during combat, so calling it directly on the map before an encounter has no effect.

Use a common event with Begin Battle trigger for settings things up before every battle.
