CloseRebuild is such a funny word because after Rebuild of Evangelion I can fully expect a Rebuild of RMN in 2043
BUT with the "advent" of the internet as it is, the more internet moves forward the more a place like RMN becomes a sanctuary of a true lovely vibrant community and website designed by and from people who love this shit.
(that being said, I don't doubt a modernization on the codebase could help make it stabler and cut costs)

edit3: i still think, in terms of funding, asset packs are nice. having an official rmn itch.io, account managed directly by whomever is taking care of the site's finances, money doesn't even exchange hands, clean, simple tax-wise, no fees, nuthin. i'm sure each of us could donate assets to help rmn make some coin!

Oh shoot! THAT'S what they're going to name FF7 part 3 - Rebuild. It makes so much nonsense that it's perfect.
Also, we were gone so long they REMADE FF7.

RMN is alive!! I was so bummed about it going down I complained to people irl, who had no idea what RMN was nor had any idea why I'd ever interact with an old internet forum, for DAYS. It's the place I leave and come back to and always feel like I've returned home.
Anyway, I should finish a game one day that'd be cool! RMN has been down so long,,, and I still haven't. Oops!
