I'm only interested in Persona 4 when it comes out here and probably a few DS games like Chrono Trigger. Yes both are out already in the states but I don't live there.
Good thing we have plenty of games to play here!

Empire FUCKING Total War obviously!
I can't wait to kick ass throughout the world with my muskets. (too bad the game was delayed until March, but man is it going to be great. I've been hyped since August last year at least.)
RE5 would be nice too but I'm one of those with only the Wii. And the whole forced co-op in RE5 might be a great thing but I'm not entirely sure.
EDIT: I'm also sort of looking forward to Football Manager 2010. It's about time I got a new Football Manager game.

And Half-Life 2 Episode 3 better come out this year. I'm looking forward to that too.

I'm wanting an Xbox 360 on the case of the Wii has failed me. But I am anticipating RE5 as well. Among other games is hoping that Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep releases this year. I have to many theories on what is happening like Terra actually being Xemnas/Xeanahort.

Dragon Quest V for the DS looks worthwhile. That's coming out fairly soon. Also, Murasame: The Demon Blade and Sin and Punishment 2.
Atlus is talking about creating a Shin Megami Tensei game for the Wii, and although that probably won't come out in 2009 I am certainly looking forward to that!

Dragon Quest V.
Dragon Quest games are really good!
And
Empire: Total War
Total War games are sooooo good. The addition of naval combat adds tons to the series. This is because Total War is about exploration and trade as much as it is micro-managing and battle strategy, making naval might really important. Naval combat, however, was always really half-assed.
Also the combat system is probably better-styled for gunfights than it is melee combat. I don't know why they didn't think of a game like this a lot earlier.
If my computer could run jack shit I'd be stoked for Starcraft 2. I played the first one a hell of a lot when I was a kid.
But since I'm gonna need a few extra hundred bucks for that, umm... Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, I guess.

Fragile, The Dark Spire, and Avalon Code. Fragile especially, that game looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
