ANYBODY PLAYING STREET FIGHTER 4?

Posts

It's odd how I never heard of it until this topic was created, seriously.

But it was for Dreamcast, right? That will easily explain why I never played it; I've never owned a Dreamcast.
It's for Dreamcast, arcade, and PS2. You can also play it online for the computer as well. I cannot express how acclaimed this game is. Many people consider it the best 2D fighting game ever.

Where can I find/download/play this online, I'd like to try it.

3rd Strike is mostly used in tournaments and what not. Isn't that Daigo comback video played in 3rd Strike as well? Fuck that's an awesome video!

God I hate Ken online, so scummy I just got tired of it so I decided to go Vega and stop that bullshit. Won 3 in a row against the same guy who kept playing Ken, fucken shoyuken bitch.
I saw that Ken comeback video...

...Holy Shit.

That's frickin' amazing. I would have so totally bit the dust.
I've got Street Fighter 2 HD on my XBox, and the online play in that's keeping me quite content. Besides new characters, graphics and maybe some balance changes, is there any point to me getting SFIV?

Get the arcade ROM for it. It's a bit of a process, but it's worth it. Then, go here.

Because it's fun as shit. That, and constantly new downloadable content.
That's definitely fine; I would say that they're both equally good and popular. They're the best two SF games in the last generation.

Heh. Does anybody want to explain the general process of canceling attacks into other attacks and specials?

I was playing C. Viper today and somehow canceled from her thunder knuckle into emergency combination and I don't know how I did it and failed to recreate it! ???
The trials will probably explain things, yes. There are a few I can't even figure out how to perform...God, I swear...
ahhhhh I grew up playing street fighter games, I love most of them. I haven't had the chance to play street fighter 4 since I don't have a ps3 nor I know anyone that has it, but I seen videos on youtube of the gameplay... it looks great, and another SF I can tell that I can enjoy. Hopefully one of these days I can get my hands on it.

I thought this was pretty amusing, but yeah; I had the chance to try this game out today and was pleasantly surprised. It's pretty fun, but with being unable to find an arcade stick that doesnt cost a small fortune; It's still difficult for me to justify a purchase just yet.

Played mostly with Sagat, since he seemed to shut down the crappy AI pretty easily.
Isn't Sagat one of the top tier characters for SF4?

Probably! I don't know. He seemed pretty easy to pick up and play though... Also I remembered most of his moves.

The AI is so retarded in this game, a lot of them would respond the exact same way to many of the moves I made. For example, when I was fighting Rufus he would always try to attack me from the air the second the round started, and so on.
