Time for another round of everybody's favorite topic!

Straying a bit from the video game theme of the last two topics, this week we will be listing our favorite TV shows, past or present. Comedies, dramas, comedramas - the range of possible choices is expansive! WARNING: Anyone listing a reality TV show as one of their favorite Top 10 shows will be instantly banned, and then I will come to your house and kick you in the balls is silly.

Can you believe wikipedia has a list? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_television_programs_by_name Craziness.

I like TV. So, it's time to present my...

..:: Top 10 List of Favorite TV Shows ::..

10. Law & Order
DUN DUHN duhduhduhDuh Duuuuhhn! This is a cool show. Of course, I'm lumping in the various spinoffs - SVU, CI, SUV, PSI, and whatever else - but they are all pretty much the same show, just different actors (hell, the main show seems to cycle through different actors every 4 seasons or so).

9. Criminal Minds
Sleeper hit of the 2005-2206 season, and for good reason, too. Follows the BAU unit of the FBI as they hunt down seriously screwed up in the head criminals. Stars Greg (from Dharma and Greg) and Inigo MontoyaMandy Patinkin. If you like criminal drama shows, be sure to catch this one. It's on Wednesday nights.

8. Corner Gas
Canadian sitcom filmed 45mins from my house! And it's funny (Canadians, as a people, are funny). It's won Canada's Gemini award for Best Comedy Series four years running (since it started) and has never had less that 1 million Canadian viewers for every new episode (to put that in perspective, Hockey Night in Canada gets around 1 million viewers). It's been syndicated for broadcast in the US just this year on some sort of Superstation based in Chicago, so watch it if you get the chance! (First scene ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Veu-Cm7aHMw (I own a Corner Gas shirt)).

7. Scrubs
Funny hospital comedy. Plenty of non-sensical moments, great characters and ends with a nice little life lesson.

6. Star Trek: The Next Generation
While better than the original series in many ways, it will never be as well known. Even so, TNG is the best incarnation of the Star Trek series ever to appear on TV. I miss this show.

5. Family Guy
I like non-sensical comedy, and this is pretty much the acme of non-sensical comedy.

4. House
House is such an asshole.

3. Arrested Development
Totally underated show. This show is filled with subtle jokes and humor to go along with the larger jokes and plotline. It also hits close to home, as I have a weird younger brother, a slacker older brother and a spoiled sister (with straight blond hair, too).

2. Whose Line Is It Anyways?
Now it's time for more Whose Line with Wayne Brady! *cheers* Ryan Stiles! *cheers* Colin Mochrie! *cheers* and some other guy who's not-quite-as-funny-as Wayne Brady, Ryan Stiles or Colin Mochrie but we need a fourth! *cheers*

Some of THE funniest moments on television have occured on this show. Youtube it up.

1. Simpsons
Was there every any doubt what would be #1? The Simpsons is comedy gold. Seasons 4-7 is Comedy Platinum. (Admittedly, seasons 11-present have been a little, well a lot, weak, but still). There's enough material here for a Simpsons channel.

Honorable mentions:
Family Feud
Flintstones
CSI
CSI: NY
Futurama
Robot Chicken
Just For Laughs: Gags
Frasier
Seinfeld
The Price Is Right

PS. CSI: Miami sucks.

1. Futurama
2. Seinfeld
3. House

I also like Heroes and other shows.

Funny story: when we went to Lysander's place two years ago, we watched an episode of CSI with him and his wife, Yrena. If you've ever been in #rm2k when we all start making fun of something, imagine that but at a faster pace and a lot of laughter. I don't think Yrena appreciated it much.

"Now that I have this flashlight on something, I can see it!"
1. Playing PSP
My favorite thing to do while on the pot is play PSP. Sometimes my legs fall asleep, because I'll get wrapped up in a game. I have actually started to develop hemorrhoids because of it. I'm not even kidding.

2. Monk
This is probably the most brilliant thing ever conceived by a human being. The show seems pretty lame until you've seen a few episodes, I guess, because all of the characters are riduculously over-acted. It's the show that convinced me that television doesn't completely suck. Tony Shaloub is one of my favorite actors, and he's won an academy award for his character in this show, so I guess people agree that he's really good. Also, he learned how to play clarinet because his character played clarinet. He then played clarinet during one episode.

3. Nip/Tuck
Because I'm a fag. This show always has me going OH GOSH and screaming into a pillow and giggling nervously and getting all worked up. It's the cheesiest thing I've ever watched, but I can't help that I love it. For bonus entertainment, watch it on Blu-Ray, because you can see how many acne scars pornstar character Kimber has and how tired everyone is underneath their eye-circle concealer.

4. Star Trek: The Next Generation
I used to watch two hours of this every single weeknight. No kidding. I'm certain that I've seen every episode more than once; I know for certain that I've watched well over 500 episodes (which means that I've seen several of them many times).

5. The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, King of the Hill
Because, really, they are all exactly the same show.

6. Grey's Anatomy
Also because I'm a fag and Kyrsten would watch this while I played Final Fantasy 12. Pleasant memories. I don't recall how good or bad the show was other than that Doctor McDreamy has beady eyes and is not that awesome once you get past his perfect hair.

7. Seinfeld
Because Jerry Seinfeld is my hero. I always wish that my life would someday be like his. I'd always wondered why he and his friends always hug out in his apartment in the middle of the day even though everyone, other than Jerry and sometimes Kramer, seemed to have a day job. Maybe every episode took place on the weekend?

That's all I can think of.

Him. I'm pretty sure you taking a shit while playing PSP does not count as a TV show, you retard.
So many great shows on tv but these would have to be my favourite.

10. Criminal Minds.
9. Law and Order.
8. Lost.
7. The Simpsons.
6. Stargate Atlantis.
5. Stargate SG1.
4. Futurama.
3. Family Guy.
2. Seinfeld.
1. Prison break.

All the television shows I like got canceled.

With the notable exception of Late Night with Conan 'O Brian.

TV, you have earned my apathy!
Starscream
Conquest is made from the ashes of one's enemies.
6110
1. Transformers G1 (Nostalgia)
2. Rome (finished)
3. 24 (getting worse, but still awesome)
4. Heroes (Gah)
5. American Idol (kentona, I dare you.)
6. The Simpsons (entertaining me since I was a wee lad)
7. Late Night With Conan O'Brien (I still miss Andy :()
8. Futurama (Better than the Simpsons, but not enough longevity)
9. The Tudors (Rome light)
10. Journeyman (New)
It's a shame that they stopped making Futurama. I think the reason was the simpsons and it's large popularity.
holb, expect a knock at your door tonight. (PS. Where do you live? PSS. lol Iowa)

@demon: because fox is stupid. They cancelled family guy and caused the death knell of arrested development. the fools.

Also, I liked Journeyman better when it was called Quantum Leap.
Starscream
Conquest is made from the ashes of one's enemies.

I'm haven't stepped foot on Iowan soil for 2 months. :(

Journeyman is actually way better than Quantum Leap for me, mostly because he's trying to deal in both eras - his present and the past. Some of those interactions are proving quite interesting.
You're still silly.

@brandonabley: Did you really expect to have a top 10 topic about what you do while on the can? I can't even think of 10 different things. Most lists would be like

1. #2
2. #1
3. Dysentry related endevour
4. Read a book/magazine/newspaper
5. Jerkoff

Anywho, this provides a nice segue (pronounced seeg) into...
What do you want to see next week?

10 best webcomics?

I don't know, really. But webcomics are awesome.
Yam picked (well, pretty much) my default topic for next week. Just plain ol' comics, though (of course, you can select webcomics, but Calvin & Hobbes isn't a webcomic and that deserves a spot on any list).

Weeeeeeeeell . . .

1. Play video games (my absolute number one)
2. Do homework
3. Browse the internet on computer
4. Text message on cell phone/manage contacts/change wallpaper/whatever other cellphone fiddling you do
5. Write (papers or novels or whatever)
6. Sketch/draw/cartoon etc
7. Clean the bathroom (you're there anyway and you can probably reach the sink and tub from the toilet -- or at least, you can clean the toilet itself)
8. Brush teeth
9. Style hair
10. Fold toilet paper in perfect sections of four sheets per square; this is very important to me and takes a lot of time

SO

I could keep going on, but you get the idea. I think it's pretty sad that you waste so much time on the toilet when you could clearly be doing something more productive!
I think you need more fiber in your diet.
My suggestion would be top ten movies. I could think of about a hundred.

It is incredible how many people don't watch the best show ever made.(Battlestar Galactica)
In no particular order - because I can't really decide.

Law and Order: The other spins that go with this series - SVU, CI, etc

Cold Case: The best 'cop' show to cry to. Shut up, it's sad. The music and then the dead person and then *sniff*...

Heroes: Love it <3 I need say no more.

Muppets: Because they rock. Everyone needs some muppet time.

Star Trek: The ORIGINAL. Kirk beats baldy anytime.

Star Gate: The original over Atlantis because Jack is teh bestest.

Australian/American Top Model/Idol/Kid Nation/Think You Can Dance: Reality TV that <imo> works better than 'Big Brother' (ugh) and Survivor.

The Chasers War on Everything: Because they're just crazy. Political satire and humour, anyone?

Simpsons/Futurama/Family Guy: Funny and fun. Wish we'd get more of the new episodes shown. <sigh>

I miss the original stargate as well. It was the best sci-fi on tv at the time. Atlantis isn't bad either but i would prefer the original.
