If I don't like to make something, I make games that focus on what I excel at and don't include what I'm bad at.

Demon Tower has battles and characters, but it doesn't have towns or puzzles.
That's sound, but the thing I don't like about that is that you can't get better at something you don't do.

Well I don't like releasing shitty products, so...

EDIT: Also, I'm finishing up an overhaul of Visions & Voices which is ONE GIANT TOWN.

EDIT2: I AM TAKING THIS PERSONALLY MOG

EDIT2b: not really

If you have a full time job and any two other obligations in your life (such as family + girlfriend or family + hobby or girlfriend + hobby or hobby + hobby or social life + girlfriend or...I could go on) it is basically impossible to work on RPG Making. Then again, some of you are like, FATHERS, right? So maybe I just personally don't have the energy.

Anyway between my job and writing and the OTHER kind of game design I'm heavily involved in...I just don't have the time/energy. Which kind of makes inspiration and work ethic a moot point. Although I do wish I'd finished something while I had the chance.
It's all about having a job where you can devote parts of your work day where you aren't required to pay attention to using an RM. Jobs like: firefighter, astronaut, lifeguard, etc.
RM *is* my hobby.

Right now my life is:
Wife + Full Time Job + Family + Sports + RM

I used have things like video game playing in there, but that has dropped off a lot (I now only play casual games on occasion, like Plants vs Zombies or Peggle).

I'm about to add FATHERHOOD to the list, and am anticipating RM dropping off and Sports being reduced significantly. Also, Full Time Job and Family is about to pick up steam (I've been in a long-running lull at work, and that's why I've been so active in RM the past 8 months. This is about to end).

So yeah, it's been nice knowing you all!
Ironically, for me I seem to work on this stuff slowly if it's during Summer Break, but when School and Jobs come up I seem to work just as hard at my game making hobby. It's got to be the rhythm for me, I'm sure.
