LOOKING FOR A MAPPER, FOR LOVE AND WAR!

Hello everyone, I'm Admiral Styles. For those who don't know, I'm the creator of Love and War, an RM2K RPG series. You can find its webpage here: http://www.antiochforever.com/law/ and its RMN page here: http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/98/ I've been working on Act II, and for a time it seemed as though a real breakthrough had been made. But, life doesn't always work the way you wish it might, and that's why I'm here, asking for a new mapper. :)
Now, I don't need the best mapper in existence - let's just say it should at least match the level of mapping found in Act I? Here are some screenshots:
I certainly don't expect fifty maps to be churned out every day, or whatever - just slow and steady progress with semi-regular updates would be fine by me. This is for Act II, now - if you stayed on past that, that would be great, but it'd be best to take it one step at a time, concentrate on what's immediately ahead of us.
So! If there are any aspiring RM mappers out there who are able and willing to lend me a hand, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it. :)

I could have sworn I offered to do this months ago and then you just vanished... =[
(But I am still willing to!)

If Blind needs an extra hand as well I'd be willing to help out. When I was playing through part one I kinda had in the back of my head "Man I wanna fix this area up a bit" haha so yeah. Your in excellent hands with Blind as he's probably the best(After Faroz because that guys just a machine)mapper for Rm2k/3 Ive seen out of the community thus far.
I have tried continuously to find someone to make my maps for me over the last five years and it just doesn't ever work out. (As a result, I had to get decent at mapping myself, but I still hate doing it.)
Anyway, I'm sure you will find someone, AS. Everyone loves LaW. Including me! :)

Eh? From my side, it really did seem like the opposite; you seemed to disappear at one point, months passed with no contact, and so I assumed you were no longer able or willing? Besides which, you do have a project of your own... What I need in my mapper most of all is reliability. My worst case scenario would be to have another six months or year pass with little or no progress made, forcing me to look for another mapper again. I would really rather this not happen if at all possible. :P
Tau: I know what you mean... If there is justice in this world, maybe someday the whole saga will get redone right, the way it deserves. So, all things considered, probably not. :P :) At this point I'd prefer to focus on the future. So, do you think you might make for a good "backup mapper" or so?
Max: Feel your pain, for sure! Thank you for the kind words, I hope you're right. :)
Geodude: That's an awfully nice thing to say, thanks. :) I'd settle for setting up my own state somewhere in RMdom, though!
Little Wing Guy: There's no deadline here; I'm trying to find the best candidate. Would you be interested in the project?
I'm sorry you feel like it happened that way. Yeah, there were a few weeks when I simply wasn't around in the community, because of finals and everything, but I can pretty much assure you that I'm interested in contributing if you'd still consider it. I'll be home from school for at least four solid months, which I imagine is more than enough to get things finished.
Let me know I guess? =]

Oh dear... Well BlindMind, send me an e-mail (ofloveandwar AT hotmail.com), and let's see if we can work something out? :)
To other interested mappers: Again, a backup mapper would be very helpful, I'd bet. I also have a sideproject on the backburner... If any would be interested in mapping for that one, do let me know!

I don't know, Blindmind's mapping and graphical style are vastly different than what's seen on Act I. It would be the oddest thing if Act II just suddenly jumped to Suikoden chipsets with lighting effects and birds flying everywhere.
Whoever you pick to do it, make sure that they can adapt to the style of your game so things can feel at least a little consistent. If you guys can do that then cool, but don't pick somebody just because their own game looked really pretty.

I like love & war. I can be one of those "backup" mappers if you need one. I like my fog and rain but other than that, I'm not too keen on special-cool lightning effects. if you need samples of more related mapping, I'll send you a picture of my cat to go with it.

HEY
I remember telling you some time ago that I would be willing to map for you if you wanted (then again I might be wrong).
or did you just want to see the cat?
author=Neophyte link=topic=3789.msg76013#msg76013 date=1242876659This is definitely true. Although, I assume he is asking in the first place because he'd like a visual "upgrade" (or is just too lazy to do the maps), so I don't think an increase in quality is necessarily a bad thing. I think most of us are experienced enough where we'd be able to modify our style to the chipsets he provides.

(I sent you an email, Admiral. <3)
Sent you an e-mail, BlindMind. :)
I understand and agree with your point about consistency, but I have to admit at this point that's fallen a rung or two down on the priority list; getting it done is number one. Have to admit though, the biggest problem is whether to remake some of the original maps that appear in both Act I and Act II and are currently looking a bit stale, like Davenport...
Mr.Nemo: I think we all want to see the cat.
But seriously though, any and all potential "backup mappers" should contact me and let me know. It'd be much appreciated!

Well, I must suck at mapping details because I didn't think Davenport was stale looking at all......
