Also, trying out an FF6 style for sprites. Thoughts?

I'd prefer the FF6 sprites. Its a lot more refreshing than Rudra sprites, and a lot better looking than the other cartoony shit I see as well.

Graphics from Rudra are pretty much the bane of my existence. :'(

Got bored, did more world map work. It's a little big for the forum so just a link. The hide function doesn't work apparently.

well shit

*depressingly erases world map*
seriously goddammit

i hope you're proud of yourself, mister
Very, I assure you.

I love world maps. Hence why when I'm bored I make the shit out of them... Haha.
To explain, I've been debating for a long while to make my world maps full scale like the FF's, or region by region like Legend of Dragoon. Currently (or as of right now, previously) my world maps were FF full world style.

You have...pushed me over the edge. Similarly to you, I absolutely adore fictional and real world geography and world maps are among the first things I like to see. I almost had a heart attack when the Suikoden full world map was revealed for the first time.
Yeah, making a full scale world detracts from the amount of detail (and lovely optional places) you can add to your world. Really the only reason to do one is to either save time or have vehicle travel.
Also, making the world map region by region adds a certain amount of 'mystique' to your game world. There's always a feeling of 'what's around the corner'? when you don't know what everything looks like right off the bat.
Also it makes your world feel A LOT bigger. Honestly I could talk about this forever, but we're taking up quite a bit of space now, hehe.
Yeah, it definitely does! Dammit, I could write a thesis on this. Maybe someone should make a topic on this.
Epic world map, Lennon. Seriously looks great.

Lennon, you sir are one skilled son-of-a-bitch. That world map made me cream my jeans, and I'm not even wearing jeans right now. I love every single facet of it. The detail is amazing. Great job.

I believe that is a rip from Rudora no Hihou.
