RMN3 BUGS
Posts
I hate that when I close the last tab, the entire thing shuts down. That really annoys me and a cursory glance through the options did not reveal a way to turn that off.
post=91893There is a secret message hidden in this post! Guess where it is!
[ whoops you found it ]
That is just spiffy as hell dawg.
I can't delete my games, if someone didn't mention that already. Nothing happens when I click the button.

I was wondering, why on IE8 this site is missing images and has some layout issues. But on Firefox it looks just fine. X_x
Ah...RMN...your just a bundle full of surprises, and funny gitches.

WIP has gone on record saying pretty adamantly that he didn't construct the site with IE users in mind, I think. I'm sure it runs well enough to basically function, right?
Yeah it does pretty much, which is okay for just posting and browsing (if you care to not know the names of the people who are posting) but I don't mind using firefox. So I'll use just that, everything is okay now.

What issues are you seeing in IE8? Sans from some coloring issues I forgot to check for and are easily fixed, it looks fine.
Okay not sure if this a error, bug, or this just happens the odd time. But I was trying to edit one of my pages, and well...a bunch of weird stuff was on screen. Yep, can't do anything to it. Which is a shame, because I wanted to fix up some crap.
Also, it looks like 10 pages are the max you can to a game page without it crashing.

Here is a bug: Review averages for games don't calculate correctly. A game's total score seems to reflect the lowest review even if there are numerous reviews that have a higher rating
post=95009The average isn't an average. Decimal points are truncated, not rounded. RMN actually uses an integer between 0 and 10 to store the rating. So if you have a game with seven 4 ratings and one 3.5 rating, you will have an "average" score of 3.5. (8+8+8+8+8+8+8+7 / 8 = 63 / 8 = 7.875 truncated to 7 = 3.5 rating)

EDIT:
Example of it in action:
http://rpgmaker.net/games/1044/reviews/
Three 4 stars and one 3.5 star averages to 3.875. Rounding it would result in an overall 4 star, but RMN calculates it as 3.5 star average.
