Whether you agree with it or not, he gave his reasoning, so actually respond to that rather than just randomly accusing him of not having provided it.
No, he just said it's terrible even by the standards of console FPS (which at least he gave some reasoning why he doesn't like console FPS). He never said why.

Goldeneye is horribly over-rated. It is a terrible FPS. Even by the standards of console FPS (which are generally horrible as a rule) it is terrible. In fact, my vote for Worst Game Ever is the whole genre of console FPS (or at least the ones that don't use a Lightgun or Wiimote, those I can stand).
Why?
Because point and click exists and it is a far superior method of controlling shooters.

Yes, he said that's why console FPS in general are terrible. But he never specified why Goldeneye is especially terrible even considering his distaste for console FPS. You do realize that he said 'even by the standards of console FPS', he thinks that Goldeneye is especially bad? I would like to know why.
I guessing because he doesn't like zoomable sniper rifles, stealth based missions, non-linear single-player maps, varied objectives, unique deathmatch modes and context-sensitive enemy hit-locations in his FPSs.
