I played Lunar SSC at my friend's house long ago back when we were in junior high. I liked it quite abit but wasnt able to play it very much. I have the sega cd versions of both lunar games on my computer, but haven't played either much yet. Maybe I got spoiled by the extras when I played SSC.
I wish I could get a copy of the PS versions without spending who knows how much. :(

Play the SCD versions! They're great~! Gah. I only got so far in the SCD SSS before the thing was deleted off of the computer. Hrmm...
Anywhoo, I think I may finish it one of these days, but I have to get through the second one first!

I remember trying the Sega CD versions thinking that the PSX ones were better in every way.

Some things were changed from Eternal SCD to Eternal Blue PSX, for example it was Hiro who stepped in the bath house and freaked out Lucia, and in the PSX Lucia stepped ino the boys bath house :)

I was really happy when I managed to have enough cash when Lunar for the ps1 came to buy it. all the feelies made me feel good. I was dissapointed thought when the second one came out, It was REALLY expensive (at least where I was) and I imagine it's only gotten worse on E-bay, so who knows if I'll ever get to play it. I generally just dislike emulation (I give up on them rather quickly) so maybe one day I'll get to play if I'm lucky.
That being said, Lunar was a phenomenal experience for me, and I got pretty late into the game before i got tired of leveling and cheated my way to victory. I sung it's praises so much that my fiance finally caved and wanted to play it! She managed to do the whole thing, and really liked it too.
"Wishing on a dream that seems far off... Hoping it will come today..."
Everytime I see that Shii Cat in a Box flash cartoon that sings that song, I'm like *sniff*

Is Eternal Blue being ported to the PSP as well? I only remember hearing about Silver Star Story...

They didn't say anything about porting Eternal Blue to the PSP, but if Silver Star sells good on the PSP they'll surely remake EB, too.
