MORE STRESS SHOULD BE PUT ON CUSTOM GRAPHICS

Mana's pixel art certainly doesn't suck. I mocked it for looking like Cabbage Patch Kids. The artist is obviously highly experienced in pixel art, but I do not respect that style.
Also, Lennon, all of those games look like they were created by "amateur" artists. First one is quite ugly, though. The earthbound one is pretty qte. How DOESN'T that mana artwork look like cabbage patch kids?

Seriously, look at those dead, cold, emotionless eyes.

Pixel Art =/= Anime
It's basically a tiny fat directional 4 sprite if that's what you are referring to, then look closer an it in paint.

What the heck? Pixel doesn't equal anime? Look at the picture, and then at the art. Also, look at ALL of the pixel art on this site. It is all directly based off of anime. Also, I thought you were done posting, like, 5 posts ago. You even put the cat face to express your departure.
That's cause they were made by 'amateur' artists...
Also sorry but what does qte mean/was supposed to be before a typo?
Also I don't think my style is based off of anime, or cilence's for that matter.

It's more like...

Also, how is that simplified?
Lennon, "qte" means "cute." Lennon, your style is obviously not based of anime, because it's based off of the mother series.
Prolly quote.
welp, guy has high standards. Done.
Yep, I'm more certain now, you don't know the difference in pixel art and drawn artwork.

Pixel art is based on Artwork yes, but you still don't get it, it doesn't exactly follow the anatomy of the artwork.
How will you pixel a character you made in a 32x32 restriction?
Now look at the weird drawing and compare it to its sprite that's where you'll see the difference on how it's simplified

Look at the charsets on this site, and that's how you'll know. That guy's pixel art is okay, though. I don't like the artwork which it is based off of.
So which ones are you complaining at earlier at being a cabbage patch? The Artwork? That's not what I wanted you to look at but the pixel art style. And you still complain about it.
Which ones? RMXP/VX RTP? Then yes it's a chibi. If you mean the rm2k/3 ones, then those are almost based on ff6 or any SNES games for that matter I believe <_<
So which one of it really irks you? The Character Artwork or the pixel art style itself?

Oh, I was talking about the artwork. Those charsets are pretty qte. I dislike RTPs, but I REALLY dislike XP/VX. Referencing that pretty irrelevant mana stuff, the artwork is the one that "irks" me. The pixel art is nice.
@Scribble, The Awesome Paul Robertson as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkyLMaJy9bw&feature=player_embedded
Haha. I post an annoying comment during a discussion and then come back a few hours later and THE WORLD IS ENDING.
ENDING

Haha! So cool. That video kind of embodies what I love about video games.

Maybe this is coz we are no real artists?
Edit:
Lennon wrote that already. But I got to say that the screens that Lennon has postet look pretty good, especially because they are custom graphics, which are not that high perfectness coming from a real artist. This is exactly what makes them special.
What separates a "real artist" from a "fake artist"? Just because it's ugly, doesn't mean it's special. It's the same reason people call retards "special." Because they are deformed.
I seriously don't even care about this anymore. Just make up your god damn mind about if you want people to make custom graphics, or you don't. Seriously , if you're going to act like a fucking child and constantly shout THIS IS UGLY THAT IS UGLY BOO BOO BEE BOO just because you don't think it's the right style (I'd like to point out there is no right style) then nobody is going to feel like making graphics that they think look nice, since you're going to be constantly bashing them about OOOH CABBAGE PATCH KID ANIME.
I know you're trying to opinionate your statement, but it's obvious that you're trying to enforce something here.
If you wanted to encourage custom graphics, you wouldn't yell at someone cause you think it's ugly, you'd critique them in a sensible way, and be glad that they're taking the time and effort to make their own graphics.
