ANIME - YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE

I agree, a lot of what's coming out these days is either: fanserviced/Gainaxed to hell, styled up beyond 11 - plotted down to 3, MOE'd up, or Symbolized to the max for some semblance of legitimacy. But, Eon's ago, every anime had a MAGIC EMPEROR GALEON, in it somewhere, so you win some, you lose some.
Tons of animes come out a year, so there's something for everyone. Basically, if you like anime, you already know where to find out what the good ones are. If not, you're not going to bother.

Now let's all go watch a truly VIP quality show, Lost. I'm sure we're all going to be very satisfied with how that's going to end.

anime is a shitstorm like any other and has a few hidden pieces of corn but is generally not worth it due to you being covered in shit.

Anime's not about "something" generally. It's just a way to present anything.
Usually the mainstream anime is aimed for younger crowd and is more shitty.
There are still series that pretty much anyone could watch - and I usually have fun time getting random people into anime, by recommending them actually good series.
For example not enough people have seen Baccano:

on an aside, is the whole point of anime to have girls in sexy-cute poses?
Nah. But there's a genre the point of which is sexy-cute poses, cleavage and panty shots.

No, just most of the shitty ones. I can see why you would think that but its still a huge generalization. Most people that say they don't like anime either haven't watched enough or are just saying that because hating anime is cool.
Hating anime is cool.
I don't hate it, but I do hate a lot of it. Some of my favorite movies are anime.

+1
Generally, it's the same as any media. Games, music, movies, everything has an ass ratio of 99%. But then again, to find the good stuff, you have to do the dirty work

My favorite animu is really the only anime worth watching
Fix'd.
(Although to be fair I fucking loved Case Closed when I was younger. In fact I'd probably still like it now if I watched it again. And yes Trigun was great as well.)
I like anime.
I like a lot of good, and anime that I know full well is terrible; it's kind of difficult to describe; but there is one thing I'm not really ashamed of liking, something that caught me a bit by surprise; and that's One Piece.
I had very very loosely followed the anime, watching a few of the (badly) dubbed episodes whilst moving a few years ago... Then one day; I by chance clicked on this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLHQp63zyOs ( Warning, giant spoilers) and found myself compelled to begin watching the series.
Despite it's occasional corny moments I find myself enjoying it immensely.

Big O is some good shit as well. Definitely one of my absolute favourites, if only from an art style viewpoint.
Anyone know where I can get Bleach or Naruto on DVD? I've checked everywhere in Hull! And I don't trust websites at all
Just watched the first two episodes of The Big O. I regret not doing so earlier. <3
Baccano's also on my list.

I agree so long as you're talking about the first season.
Yellow magic, I'd advise you stay away from Season 2 as well.
