Title screen for a computer-based minigame.The 'Porygon' is a little hard to read, but I'm fairly happy with the rest of it. Any thoughts?

AFD: NicoB and LWG's game is the same game. Collaboration and all that. As for Dranart's, it looks quite different (IMO) to the other. It's the way in which they use the chips that makes the style, not the actual graphics themselves. But you are right, there are quite a few games that use the Rudra style - mainly because it looks good and is easy-ish to use. It's also a complete group of graphics.
There are also a lot of games that use the RTP or Mack and Blue or Fire Emblem or FF1-6 rips. What matters is how you use them, not that you use them.

I agree with you when you say "What matters is how you use them, not that you use them."
But....
It doesn't matter how good use use the Rudra resources, if people keep seeing the same type of chipsets
and characters applied in games they will eventually get tired of seeing the same thing.
It's human nature.
This principle applies to every game.
If I played kingdom hearts and then another game came out using the same textures character sets and
other stuff I would feel like i'm playing something thats already been done and non unique.
Regardless of how many new systems that were implemented.
Yes some games do really good with the Rudra graphics but that doens't stop the fact that it's starting
to bore the eyes.

Making your game distinguishable from others is important. "Using it well" is not a means to differentiate your game from all of the others. Just take a look at Dhux's Scar. There's absolutely no way anyone will mistake Dhux's Scar for anything else... And it doesn't even use 100% original resources.

I'm trying both a new message box to go with the new system set, and a chipset edit for the normal town chip. Thoughts?

Oops.. Let that one slip I guess, thanks for pointing it out.
I'll do something about the shading on the trees to make them look more in place there. I wont be replacing them entirely though.
