Prologue

The world is destroyed and regeneration follows.

For thousands of years, this history of destruction and regeneration by gods had been repeated. People were gradually forgetting this history.

It is now the present. In this world where everyone believes that the gods exist, the power the gods brought, the "Wave Device", was used to enjoy prosperity.

Floating in the sky were the huge ruins of the gods. (or is it ruins of huge gods?) These ruins were called the "Island of Nothingness" (Doom Island?),
(The rest of the sentence is maybe "(something) was calling to the world"). However...

(NEXT)

Suddenly, a roaring sound was emitted. Flaming red Island of Nothingness (glowing?).
Any/Some/Nowhere on the world, voices of despair (something) across

"I am the god of destruction, Gades. I will destroy this world. Humans, struggle well."

The gods' resurrection and the time of destruction have come. (or is it "The time of the gods' resurrection and destruction has come"?)

The "Wave Device" is the only power that can compete with gods. Having acquired that power, the "Hero of the Waves" appears and a new history begins.

Waves and the Wave Device

The wave device was a heritage from the gods. That is what the power of the gods manifested itself as.

Gods' ruins were scattered across the world. The gods' artifacts, the "Wave Devices", were left in there. Water continuously flows from the Wave Device, overflowing with violent burning flames and mysterious powers (Uh...?). People gathered around the ruins, streets were born, and countries were shaped.

As time passed, genius scientist Dr. Lexis Shaia's efforts began to elucidate the mysteries of the mechanism of the wave devices. Everyone possesses "thoughts describing power." (imaginating about power?) The Wave device is what people believed at the occasion separating tip at god's "Wave" agreement, core becoming "(something) stone" hidden created thing
(even more "Uh...?" that I left nearly all literal because I couldn't figure it out).

If simple power is power created from wave devices, fire and water, light (something) power arrive until various purity group exists (some more literal "Uh...?"), people began to use it in everyday life.

First paragraph:
15 years ago, a Super Famicon game was released as the RPG, "Estpolis Denki II." This product for the Nintendo DS is a complete remake of the game "Estpolis". As previously reported, there were the hero Maxim and the heroine Selena. Then, information about the God of Destruction Gades was reported. This time, it's Maxim's childhood friend's, Tia's, introduction! Furthermore, the character-specific skills, the "Wave Arts", are also discussed. Dungeon strategy and battle (something), (something about head/mind).

Second paragraph:
The story begins and the scene is Elcid, where a kanbanmusume works at a second-hand shop. She is Maxim's childhood friend. Having lost both parents early, her personality is that of a lonely spoiled child (unsure). Harboring slightly romantic feelings towards Maxim, she forcibly becomes a party member (unsure). She carries a special trunk equipped with a wave device in a hook shot (unsure of the wave device's and the hook shot's relation).

(The katakana suggests Elcid is actually pronounced Elkid.)
