WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON NOW?
Posts
Today is the day i started on an adventuring in translating one of the biggest and most popular RPG Maker games in the Japanese community: Seraphic Blue. Yep, that's right. Got the approval from Tempura, the creator of this game and now working on translating the small stuff first (abilities, items etc...)
Passives. This shows Draintouch - dealing damage restores 1/4 of that damage to the user. I'm pretty pleased with this as-is - I like showing the healing done per-hit. Any suggestions?

Good to hear! I've always wanted to know what that game was about, ever since watching that epic final boss vid.

Yeah, good luck with this. I can't even get the game to open, I think I needed the japanese rtp? It was so long ago...I don't remember.

What I was asking before was like...some abilities "cost" M...where is the M gauge shown? I see SP and HP gauges but no M gauge.
Anyway I see lots of interesting features I'd like to try and get an explanation of what they do and how they were accomplished, if you have the time.
M is Momentum and is shown in the upper-right corner. It is common across all party members.
Finally leaped through the hardest part, making a full keyboard script work with simple mouse system e_e

The way it is shown makes it look like a popup (like damage) rather than a constant element of the HUD. You might want to adjust this, but since I am looking at a screenshot and not the actual game, I cannot say for sure.
Craze sez --- "a sentence or three is fine."
This morning I finished up making cerimonies, awards and winners for my game. Simming through 390 acts for 10 years takes about an hour.

Like a fool, I've undertaken another project. In the spirit of Game Gale I've begun work today on a quick little romp RPG called Village Brave and the escape from Dread Mountain.
Village Brave and the escape from Dread Mountain is the best title there will be all year... not just for RMN games. I mean movies, books and TV too.
post=136381It is an absolute constant element of the HUD - the only time it moves position is when enemy Momentum pushes it up (or one special boss counter but that's shhhhhhhhhh)(wait shit). The reason it's positioned as it is is because it updates every hit you make - every time you deal 1 or more damage your M increases by one.post=136364The way it is shown makes it look like a popup (like damage) rather than a constant element of the HUD. ...What do you mean "what does it do"? Why, it multiplies your damage of course.
Trying to adapt this into a puzzle.
Been implementing database stuff on a Dungeon Crawler like game I'm making in RMVX.
And I'm also attempting to write down how combat would 'flow' in the RPG I'm planning. So far two things have come to mind while doing it: 1) I can't write comprehendible flow charts. Although this is the first draft so who knows. and 2) It's probably gonna take me more than an A4 sheet to write it down properly, annoyingly >.>
