RMN NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS
Posts
It is a new year, and a time for renewal and self-improvement, not just for ourselves but for RMN as well. For a lot of us, the state of the site (participation, feedback) is not what we would like it to be. But there are always ways to change that.
I am asking each and every one of you (yes, not everyone but you, YOU) to make a commitment to improve the overall quality of the site this year. This commitment could be anything. You might offer to write a review or an article or a tutorial, be a beta tester, play someone's game and provide feedback, or whatever else you can think of.
Post your RMN New Year's Resolution Commitment here. Let us know how you plan to make the community a better place this year.
I will go first. I will attempt to have 100 reviews before the end of the year.
What will your commitment be?
Commitments
Solitayre: Reach the 100 review mark
Darken: Complete RMVX Tutorial, Reviews for games that need it
Rei-: Mapping Tutorials
NEO Prime: Help at least one person make a respectable game.
Nessiah: Create a public script
AznChipmunk: Article/Tutorial Series on Atmosphere
Despite: Tutorials on using Photoshop for RM
Mary 4D: Spriting Tutorial
Ratty524: Reviews
Leprachaun: Five reviews
This is not a thread to discuss personal aspirations/projects, just what you plan to do for the community.

I will get back into the writing groove this year and make a complete tutorial on how to use RPG Maker VX from complete newbie to average. Basically a guide series with very informative images and steps. Nothing half assed, completely idiot proof. I figure this would vanquish half the incoming help topics that stroll in once in awhile. I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, but stuff happens! I'd will write some reviews this year for games that really need them.
Finish Chromatose.
Finish Muse.
Finish Night Shift Noble.
Get a lot of planning/beginning stuff done for some secret project stuff.

Quite a few people have asked me to create a mapping tutorial, so I'll try and get something of that sort done.
It's probably going to have several parts, covering everything from aesthetics to playability and overlays and all that.
I'm also going to submit a completed game, and really hope to submit a demo of other game, too. ... demo that will shake the ground and tear the sky apart...

Alright, I would like to make an effort to help people make better games this year; even if its only helping one person make what would otherwise be total crap into something half decent and respectable.
Edit: Well, I guess that's a worthless idea.
post=117686AznChipmunkThis is not the point of the thread.
Me me me
Try again.
Oh, I didn't get it at first. I thought it was what we would be releasing to the community!
I am going to write a series of articles on atmosphere.
I'll try and write up some tutorials for photoshop, ya know stuff you can use for HUDS and so on and so forth.
That is... not the point of the thread!
Edit: Better!
* Chaos sucks with commitment and thus needs to ponder this a while.
