THE LAST STORY, XENOBLADE ANNOUNCED FOR WII
Posts
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/slsj/index.html - Sakaguchi and Uematsu are on board. Not sure if Amano is or not. I'm not sure if the title is funny, or if Mistwalker is admitting they're on their last legs much like Square was when they made their "Last Story".
http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/sx4j/index.html - Xeno Blade. It's thought that this is the game we've known as "Monado".Not sure how or if this has any ties to the other Xenocrap games.

After this, Uematsu's name doesn't really hold so much meaning.

Because not everyone likes the same games you do.
No shit, Karsuman. My comment was more of an invitation for him to clarify how he felt if he wished, not a butthurt reprisal.

Well it is good that wii is getting some rpg love... I guess.
Yeah, I was dissapointed by that as well. At least Opoona rocks. And Dokapon Kingdom in a different context.

OH SHI
Don't let kentona in here!
Is anyone going to tell me what these two games are about and why I should be excited at all. They are RPGs, I see, which is a start.
post=122009It's the continuation of the Xeno games and Mistwalkers newest project? I figured after spending all that money on Sakaguchi Microsoft would want to have things more exclusive on their end.

Actually, they did announce Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2, to be released April 28th (in Japan), no less! That could probably get its own topic, though.

Yeah, and it looks pretty good so far. I have high hopes for it, DQJ1 was also good.
Xenocrap - I feel that way about any game full of self-important, useless symbolic BS, and the Xeno series is the worst offender in gaming. Would you prefer I use the term Evagears? Same difference. I might still get Xenoblade, as apparently it's confirmed it has no real tie to the other Xeno games other than name and team.

Hardly! I'm not sure about Xenosaga, but most of the symbolism and references in Xenogears have a strong tie to its overall plot, theme, and message, and even the stuff that's just 'thrown in', like the names of several countries and towns being translations of Jewish holidays or whatever, by that logic, you might as well accuse pretty much almost every piece of fiction from Final Fantasy to god knows what else for using a religious/historical/gnostic/whatever name to name parts of their setting.
