Something's wrong, I can't put my finger on what.
Welp, all I can say is keep sketching and work through it, man. Don't fret right now, it's too early to be worried about details.
I'll just drop this here...I drew it up last night.

Also, kudos for the sweet ave, dudes! BT looks really nice, though I have to ask what's with the face on the left? XDD Awesome~ And the top left one - he looks kinda deranged, like he's just shy of snapping. Like Luffy in that scene~ It's really cool!
Ketsumio, neat! I don't know why, but it kinda reminds me a bit of the show, Adventure Time? Something about the lines or expressions? I've never actually seen the show but I've seen stills and art and, I don't know, it just does. ^.^

BT is a guy who has to force himself to be happy in order to have a super power. Which means he has to swallow a lot of emotion too often. He quickly becomes on the brink of lunacy. I wanted that to be expressed by his massive tall eyes, because I found the lower I put his eyelids, the more relaxed he looks.
I tried practising a bit of drawing and did a doodle with a biro in school..
I have a feeling I'm going to need a lot more of that practice..
He was meant to be reading a piece of paper, but it's not terribly well conveyed. I guess he's just glaring at a very rounded triangle. D:

Yeah first one's Gaara.
The one below SHOULD be Gray Fullbuster (from FT) but turned out to be an epic fail.

@Kyrsty, I wouldn't say that looks too much like Kingdom Hearts. I hated the amount of shorts in the game but I'd say you've actually improved upon its style to a point where I wouldn't immediately say, "that looks like Kingdom Hearts" had you not pointed it out. I love it, though - I'm hugely fond of random chains/bits of metal as fashion accessories!
@Ivory, are those traced? They look really good! I particularly like the coat in the second picture! ^^
And yes.. I draw in pen because I was always taught not to, and I'm such a hardcore rebel.

Definitely not! :D I don't have any Naruto mangas so I just draw them by staring at the screen. :) I've drawn Itachi and Deidara, and they also looked traced. I'll post them later. ^^
Edit: Here are my awful previous works.
Not satisfied with Deidara's mouth. Shades looks ok to me.
This is something 'original' that I've come up with. Birth of Athena, duh. An epic fail though Orz
This is what you do when you get bored - play around with MS paint. :) Was thinking of Marilyn Monroe when painting this.
5-6(?) grade art project. Design of the mask was from the school's picture. Hate Chinese opera. :/
From art class in elementary. We were supposed to be copying different styles of calligraphy. The "老" one was ** by the teacher because it was the most similar to the original style (thick and 'unsteady').
Don't mind the skulls. :x Latter wasn't finished cuz I lost the drawing notes.
From 5-6(?) grade art project. Blowing the watercolors by using straws.
From 5th grade. Chinese water-color from the club I've joined. Image is traced but the colors and 'shading' were done by myself. The teacher was really great when she taught us how to do the shades. :)
Yeah, some white thingy to censor my awful, awful 'signature'. So yeah, I'm a good copycat but I SUCK at making anything original. Orz That's why I prefer to draw handsome anime boys' faces instead of making something original. :*)

That's quite the compliment! Haha XD. A lot of my style is inspired by Tetsuya Nomura

But I like the concept that I've "improved" on it, teehee! I wasn't a massive fan of all the shorts in that game myself either (I prefer pants) so this is a bit outside my usual range.
I'm glad you like it though! XD
I think lately I've been getting a lot more comfortable style-wise and my stuff tends to be more recognizably "mine", so I think I'm taking steps in the right direction XD.
You're getting to the point where I'm going to start harshly critisizing, but only because I lurv you.
