In the future, guns become so destructive and powerful that they can kill from anywhere on the planet unfailingly, and are therefor deemed weapons of mass destruction and are locked away alongside nuclear arms. Because of this everyone uses swords and other melee weapons...ON MECHS!
Another RP character of mine:
His name is Willard Dobson, AKA Hive. His body was changed into a swarm in insects due to a lab accident that occurred while testing military applications for insect toxins, and now he cannot keep a stable humanoid form, hence the containment suit. I haven't done any shading or coloring on it, don't know if i even will.

Neverm0re, that's a cool character drawing. I like the concept too. Now I really want to draw robots 8-)

I will forever draw this MC character until the day I die >.<

This is one of my battlers. I try to keep the picture somewhat quick with my designs.

Hello everyone! First post here :)
I've been lurking for a little while, this subforum in particular. You guys are great.
Here's a silly little half-finished sketch. I finally got a tablet so I've been really eager to get started, but I kind of lost enthusiasm for this halfway through.
I don't know how you guys have such smooth, clean lines. Maybe it's because I haven't practiced that much yet, but all my lines are so crooked and sketchy.

@tea - I don't know why but I really love that picture. It just feels really unique, the soft blending of the colors look great too. Starting out with a tablet is difficult, but once you get used to it I think your lines will just naturally improve. just a change from drawing on paper, I guess.
I'm not really an art critic, I just wanted to say I like your picture :)

Are you using the erase tool to get that effect on purpose?
What program do you use?
@tea: beautiful line art!! Post lots!
@Dudesoft
Photoshop CS5
If you're talking about the light fade-out, it's me using a soft round brush, with the background color.
I do this on a upper layer so the effect never hurts the picture.

That's awesome, Clareain!
I'm no art critic on how things should be or whatever, but I like your art style a lot.
She's definitely sexy.

Dudesoft's doodle actually has really normal clothes compared to RPG standard.
Also, she's kind of chubby, but still really sexy, Clareain.
Edit: @Dudesoft
Whoops, sorry. It still is pretty normal though.

More cushion for the pushin'!
I enjoy your sketch there, Clareain_Christopher. It's always refreshing to see a female character with a more average build and darker skin, instead of another rail thin lily white girl. Not to mention sensible, but still cool, clothes.
Her clothing is a little puzzling though - judging by the lineart it's fairly tight under the jacket, but the odd lines and shading makes it look kind of bulgy. Also the shading is very... black, and/or just a darker shade of the same hue. Do you use dodge/burn? You'd be amazed at how nice your shading can look when you mix different colors in with your darker shades and highlights. (I don't mean like my silly rainbowpuke sketch that I posted a little ways up, just normal color theory stuff.) Your art is quite nice, and I feel like it could be even better if you pushed your colors just a bit.
