COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS
Posts
I'm currently working on my first project, and as I get people from RL that know about this stuff it helps me A LOT. For example, with regard to Pasty's comment about specialization, I SUCK at making over worlds, however I'm much better at making dungeons, and (I think) at keeping the game balanced. I just got a friend of mine to do the title art and some of the pictures I need done for showing during the game, which is great because I'm horrible at drawing.
So the take away, is that Collaborative projects are great, a second set of eyes always sees things differently than how only one person sees things.

What I'm finding is wonderful about collaborative projects is that people bring unexpected skills to the table.
For instance, our composer (and I wasn't even advertising for a composure initially so even hearing from Sir Subtle was a pleasant surprise) just worked over our world map and title screen and now they're looking great.
