SO, I GOT "POKEMON: SOULSILVER"

Eh...hard to say. I seem to be leveling up just as quickly as I did in the old days. But also, that's cause this game is twice as long as any other PKMN game cause you get to go to Kanto as well.
Also, just as a note, I level up my PKMN evenly...as well as only put a new, permanent PKMN in my party every 10 levels (Like, I have 3 main PKMN in my party right now that I use to fight with: Croconaw, Noctowl, and Flaaffy. When those three reach L.30, I'll add another PKMN to my party to fight with, giving me a total of 4), so they level up quicker than I've seen some people level.

(Actually Hoenn is about two and a half Johtos big. Hell if I can remember where I read it though.
Sounds conceivable.
Well, even so, at the end of both games, you probably would have near-even levels on your PKMN from each...HGSS/GSC just "feel" longer cause those games have 16 gym leaders total: the Johto ones and the Kanto ones. =)

I haven't played any of the games since Gold and Silver, and the remake looks awesome to me. I still haven't played it yet, as it still needs to be delivered to my house, but I can't wait to see what its got.
I also want to beat up my sister with the game, as she's a pokemon nut, and constantly brags about how strong her team is.

I've discovered yet another way to get maximum use out of my Pokewalker- I've started wearing it while I play the drums. This means I not only get valuable music practice in, but I built up 250 watts in about an hour of drumming. I clipped it to my sleeve on my more active arm, and next time, I think I may try it on the less active arm, just to see how the results vary. It does feel good to wrack up 5000+ "steps" playing along to Dream Theater, though. My Geodude fucking loves me now, too.

I was peeved at the reviews for HG and SS when they criticized the old Game boy chip growl sounds. Those sounds make the game. Back when those growls temporarily stopped the music.

And, yeah, that's a dumb reason to negatively judge the game. The poke'mon "cries" will never change from the original, which is good, in my opinion.
