CloseIf you're American and haven't been living under a rock, chances are you've head of the Tea Party Movement, a largely conservative/Republican response to many of the changes and proposed changes by the Obama administration, such as the Healthcare reform, the stimulus package(es), and various changes in taxation. By and large while I'm sure the Tea Party Movement has some level headed and reasonable individuals, the spotlight and the focal point has been on folks like Sarah Palin and this guy;
...which makes me think, and I'm sure the rest of the world, consider the possibility that Americans are the Mariel Boatlift of the European world, where hundreds of years ago Britain just dumped its psychopaths and morons over here and after the Revolutionary War just went "fuck it, you can stay". Or something! So yeah, what is your opinion on this movement that's seeing more and more news coverage?

Conservatives are, for the most part, idiots. There are some who are right-wing economically who aren't totally bat shit insane, but they are few and far between. I don't get it. I FOUGHT FOR THE USMC MY SALARY WAS PAID BY TAXES THEREFORE TAXES ARE A COMMUNIST PLOT!!?!?!

Well with any movement or group, you have your nutters. The majority of tea partiers are just middle-class average joes who just don't want to be taxed even more and want a smaller federal government.
