WORST BOSS FIGHTS
Posts
I found FF13 to be pretty easy besides the Eidolon Battles. I hated those with a passion.
Every one of those battles had a specific rhythm you had to stick to in order to win in the allotted time frame.
I would hate destroying all enemies and bosses, only to die in an Eidolon battle because why? I didn't switch Vanille to one of the millions of Paradigm combinations. The ending was worth it though. Sorta...

Half-Life. Slow, easy and anticlimactic boss at the end of an otherwise challenging and very well-paced game ];
any of the ten wiseman battles in star ocean 2 that involve surviving for a set period of time. Nothing more annoying than running around in circles for 5 minutes while the badguy one shots each of your party members. and you need to revive the dead ones because he could potentially oneshot you with a spell too. Fun Fun.
On that note:
Vespar and Decus from Star Ocean 2. This fight will rape your shit. The worst part is that it's halfway up the damned tower, and if you die a bunch and wanna go train, you have to go all the way back down said tower to heal/buy items. Party member AI is terrible in this game. If you control one 'fighter' character to beat on the fire guy to stop him from casting spells, your other members will leave the other guy completely alone. Oh, and they tag team rape your face. The end boss was easier.

post=146071this is how i feel exactly
Most people think SH2: Covenant is the best, but I prefer the first one. Covenant is better looking and plays better, but SH had a much darker plot and a scarier/creepier atmosphere. Covenant was still dark, but it felt tuned down in comparison and almost tailer-made for the mainstream. It was noticeably sillier than the first one (but not to the point it became grating). I still loved it, however.
'From The New World' on the other hand...brought the campiness up to eleven and nearly erased everything that made the SH series unique in the first place.
The worst boss fight for me is Zarathustra in Xenosaga 3. It was my own fault for getting Erde Kaiser Sigma (retarded optional kill-just-about-anything-in-one-hit spell, fyi) and whatever that accessory that makes everything cost 1 MP was called... but still, it literally took me two turns: one to buff spell power (which might have been unnecessary), the other to use EKS. What a thrilling and climactic battle! FOLLOWED BY AN HOUR-LONG CUTSCENE HURG. It also didn't help that having that accessory meant that for the past hour or so every single fight had literally consisted of using EKS and waiting for the victory screen to go away.
To this day I still have no clue what the Zarathustra fight is supposed to be like. I kinda want to try it for real.
Also from Xenosaga 3: The optional Omega fight (forget what it was called... Omega Id, maybe?) wasn't bad, but it did bug me when I accidentally forgot to guard his bullshit attack with my best mech because my friend called me. Going the rest of the battle with the mech that I had ignored the whole game -- and thus had amazingly crippled stats -- wasn't very fun!
Suikoden V had a pretty lame final boss. The story gets really good near the end and then the final fight is against... geez, I don't even remember what the hell it was supposed to be. But it was lame.
Suikoden II had a similar problem actually... both games, they introduce cool villains early on and then kill them off halfway through the game and have you fight some generic monster at the end.

post=146392Ahaha FF9 did this too. (Well, it was more than halfway through the game, but still a bummer.)

post=145887post=145753Yeah, but after that he turns from Ganondorf to Ganon! and you shoot light arrows at him!
The boss fight with Ganon in Ocarina of Time because it was so lame.
I did not just play 20 hours of LoZ to play FUCKING PONG >:|
What you shoot arrows at him? I always just rolled between his legs and hit his tail.

I really like the big black border, also what kind of voice acting is this. Im sorry i am just appalled at this video than caring about what topic im posting in.
Be glad that Shirley isn't in that clip.
Like half the bosses from Zone of the Enders Second Runner on Hard mode.. Man that game pissed me off. Pretty good game though, aside from the dialogue at times being laughable.

That's what you did when Ganon changes into his FINAL FORM. ...which, incidentally, was also pretty boring and lame.
"OMG here is a big ass GANON THAT IS COOL LOOKING!"
*spends most of the time staring at Ganon's shins*
post=146403man, the bosses in this fucking game are the definition of nintendo hard

Well, the trick to that battle is that you must roll between his legs and cut his tail. Which means that you will be spending most of your time right next to him near his knees and shins. Thus all you really get to see in the final battle is Ganon's shins. Which is lame.
Fistleo the Predatoroid: In Megaman ZX you get a bonus if you kill a boss without hitting it's weakpoint. Fistleo's weakpoint is his head. The hitbox for his head takes up about 80% of his entire fucking sprite. It gets to the point where I can walk into him, spam slash, and he'll die because it is practically impossible to not hit his weakpoint.
I spent over an hour refighting this fucker and I just can't fight him as if he was actually difficult, it's too easy to hit his weakpoint for massive damage :(
