GAMEPLAY IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS

I agree, gameplay is the only thing that matters. Why do you think people think Mario 3 was the best NES game. It wasn't the story.

However...
#1 get far before you get challenged
#2 gameplay.

People like to play for a few hours before it gets tough.
