Properly Keepers of The Restless Souls, instead of Dungeon Sweepers. Sounds classic, but yeah, Keepers are winners.
I'm making a Sonic mini-rpg based off the gameplay style of Super Mario 64 where you collect stuff to unlock levels, using 2003, and making it basic so I don't make it to overwhelming. And there are parts like in Mario 64 where you may not know where to go.

Working on Frantica Village, which is basically your main starting area for Keepers.
But it's actually past events told though Jeanne's eyes while she awaits her fate in some prison with others, one of the characters have a keep connection to her, which is basically told straight forward. But it leads up to the story about the battle of Grenburg and Donvinci, who fought over the Archnoid(sounds spidery, but temporary name) Beast land. For whatever reason, that'll be left up whatever the purpose was.

Jeanne was setup by a Dovinci General named Claudius Lawrence thinking she could be a valuable asset as a pawn and others thinking she was a covert spy of Grenburg. But more of that later on, that won't end being revealed yet.

She also had a husband and child who went missing, presumed dead. More on that later in the story, and it's one the playable chracters.

Hoping to detail it though notepad on the story as well. 7 characters to join your party.

EDIT: I'm working on sprites. I want to get this 8-dir done tonight.
I've done some cleaning up work and evented a loot selling system. The reason I can't just use stores like normal for that purpose is because the money you get goes down the more you sell of the same thing.
Well i am working on an SMBX game call "Mario and the Monster Multipliers" ! Some of you may be familiar with it uhm.... yeah....
Working on a lengthy RPG with a super-depressing story. Will feature a custom (but still turn-based) battle system, but emphasis will be on the ultra-moody story telling.

I made 5 maps today. It doesn't sound like much, if you don't know that it's five more maps than I made for this project in the past 3 years.
Five maps in a day would be amazing for me. I'm a horribly slow mapper before I go back and nuke and redo half of it (and it still looks horrible).
Custom title screen completed! It took me a few days, but it's finally done! ...And to think the player will only look at it for a couple of minutes. It even looks a lot like the default title screen so it's not like all that effort was for something well worth it. ...What on earth was I thinking? -_-

I'm working on graphics for the first area of an RPG I'm making for the missus, there is a screenshot in the screenshot topic.

The basic plot is that a hero who saved the world from a great evil has gotten bored of the lack of challenge and
sets a great evil loose on purpose just to have something to fight against.
You play as someone completely different who has a very high opinion of said hero
until said shit hits the fan and you discover it is his fault

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Yeah, it takes me three or four hours to make a good map. More if it's big.

Typically I wait a few years before nuking and redoing it. But not always!
I'm trying to generate some rough face sets for a little survival/sci-fi game I've had in mind for a while. I went online and looked for actors/actresses who I could see in the given roles (that matched the age I'd written in for the characters) and then did low-res interpretations of them. In cases where I was torn for a given character's appearance, I combined features from a couple of different people. I'm somewhat pleased with the results. The woman was supposed to be modeled after a younger version of Jessica Hecht, but somehow ended up taking on characteristics of a couple of my exes instead.

Emperador_Penguino - I really like how your character looks. You nailed the oldschool PSX vibe.
