Bad news: Because of how the curser works in this system set, either we change the set... or have a space before every name. This includes the character names! So, we can keep this cursor (because it does look great) and have fixed character names, or we can change the system set and have alterable character names.

How about we have a list of names for each character that the player can choose from (about 3-4 - a la show choice). That way it's a little flexible for them and easy enough for us to keep within the limits. That or static names.
If we change the system graphics, then I have to go back and re-space everything I wrote (not much) / item names. It doesn't matter, not much work at this point. But it is pretty crucial so we aren't plugged with tons of work later.
Personally, I'm leaning on just changing the graphics, so we're not stuck being a RPG without name changes (what kind of RPG is that?!)
Instead of posting here, I should have just done it... It took 5 minutes to make the system edit and now we have something that actually looks better, and allows change-able names.
Does anyone need any other kinds of chipsets? I can whip something up, but I'll need to know/ I guess I'm saying 'Put your order in for chipsets here!'
Yes sir, I am really just fixing up the graphics and database now. Need to do a shuttle launch sequence but that'll take 10 minutes.
Sorry for taking so long, everything at once and I had the misfortune of a manager who won't allow laptops at work! Really killed this whole thing, I was holistically banking on that.
On a similar not to graphics, I should probably make a charset template for you guys, because these chips are set up for a higher than usual character placement.
Deckiller do you think you could add graphics in later if provide them?
Example: set up the hero battler position, but work on the graphics afterward?

what if you just made whatever? I'm sure someone would put it to use, given how stellar your work is!
Might I suggest a cave/dungeon, or maybe moon surface/alien world?
OKAY here is the intro area. Maybe you guys all want to see what I shat out, and it's -really- short. No gameplay barely at all, just a starting point for Deckiller, but it does set the stage, I guess.
