This was posted on GW ages ago, I forgot what it was called but im sure it was made in ether RM2K or RM2K3 and it wasn't in english.
Anyone know if it was ever finished or a demo was made?

This is Aedemphia...

It's still ongoing as a French game, though english translation has pretty much halted for now...

Also, since you're a bit late, check this topic out (which shows all French games, including the ongoing Aedemphia...)

But I wonder how you even got all these images in the first place...?

There is an English version of the game (Played it a year ago).

Enjoy.
There is an English demo, but it's not very long. Other than being absolutely gorgeous, a notable trait about this game is that you have full control over the status point distribution and there's also skills you can level up. The system was very broken, but rather fun. I wonder how the system works out nowadays.

Also, the main character has already been part of two (I think) stories written by the author before the game begins, so there's quite a bit of backstory to get trough.

The translation's only about 5 minutes long, so not really worth posting.

I'd say it's longer than 5 minutes.

Would you happen to have a better, longer translation?

As far as I'm concerned, it's reached at least one person, so it was well worth posting.

Argh noooo!

I was hoping this would remain hidden which is why I kept quiet about it :-).

The thing is, this was about my first translation of an rpg game and there was *so much* text that I just plowed through as quickly as possible and I think it affected the final result.

This demo is ridden with bugs and the translation really isn't as great as I could be (I'd do a much better job if I was to translate it right now). Besides, the latest version has pretty much ditched everything in this demo as everything is better: the graphics, the story, the writing, the enemies... everything.

In case you're interested, you can see for yourself by downloading the latest build here.

There's also an article about Aedemphia here.

This text has about 100 times more text than Omega Cerberus (I'm not kidding). The other problem is that the game keeps getting updated (thus outdating the older version constantly).

I'd only translate this if I was being paid (like 0.01c/word) for it but if some of you guys are interested and willing to go all the way with this, you can contact Sylvanor and give it a shot.

He's hired a musician for the music of this game, so he might a hire a translator in the future (me or someone else).

Also, the main character has already been part of two (I think) stories written by the author before the game begins, so there's quite a bit of backstory to get trough.

Not anymore. Believe it or not, he's made in-game cinematics to tell the stories now. The stories are nicely integrated into the game now and it take minutes to be up to date with the main story.

No, it's quite a bit longer than that as far as I can remember.

EDIT: I've also asked Sylvanor to introduce his game here but I don't think he's going to do it as the game is in French and all.
