RMN BUGS (V3)

Posts

I think I fixed the review score average bug. I added the average calculation to the overnight job (ie- the one that recalculates Makerscore), so all of the game review average scores should be recalculated overnight. That or the site will crash.

There seems to be a bug where comments on one of my blog posts are not showing up under Latest Posts on the front page.

http://rpgmaker.net/games/1046/blog/4419/ is the blog in question.

Here's a screencap of the timestamps of the comments and the front page:

The two comments should have appeared between the top two posts on Latest Posts but didn't.
I figured out the bug.

However, the fix killed the TEST site. :\

See, we don't want posts from the staff forums populating that list, so there is a filter. The problem is the filter applied to the list filters out posts whose forum topic belongs to a non-public forum HOWEVER it does not discriminate, so if your, say, image's ID matches a forum topid ID and that forum topic is non-public, then posts on that IMAGE will also get filtered out. ALSO, if the image ID does not match ANY forum topic IDs, it will also get filtered out (for example, forum topic IDs are at about 8000, while image IDs are now starting aroung 14000)

So there is a bug in the code, but to implement what was intended (split the posts into forum and non-forum posts, apply the filter to forum posts only, recombine and sort and then just grabbing the top 5) absolutely KILLS the site. We need to come up with a more efficient solution.

FIXED IT.

Latest posts are now working as they should.
Looks like the post history function is down?

I can't delete some of my old submissions. A bug?

do you get an error? which submissions can't you delete?
Games, screenshots, anything. I press the "Delete" button, a dialog box pops up, asks me if I'm sure, I hit yes. Nothing happens.
Refresh. Your javascript is probably cached and old.
Hard refresh on the submissions page with nothing still happening. Dumped my java cache and temp folder and still nothing.
the RSS feed is down. you already know this, right?

not that anyone uses RSS B)

The RSS feeds have been down for forever. I have been slowly working on fixing them, but every time I fix one thing, there is a problem with something else!
So, the other day there was a scheduled downtime to update some stuff and whatnot, but right afterwards I started to experience this little annoying bug where the menus on the top bar will stay open even if the cursor isn't over them anymore and even if I change tabs or scroll up or down on a page. At first I thought it would be gone in a couple of days but since it hasn't, here I am... I use Chrome, btw.

Hello? You're supposed to hide again when you're not needed. >=(

Same here (I use Chrome also)
As you left the browser pane, you tracked over the dropdown menu. Now that your mouse is out of focus of the browser pane, the site waits patiently. Move the mouse back in elsewhere in the pane.
If I move the mouse back onto the window with out moving over the menus then they stay extended

EDIT:

I cant remeber how to take a screenshot of my cursor, but it is in the rmn window pane
it's because by moving over the window pane your cursor never actually 'leaves' the menu (nothing to toggle the mouse event back)

it's not exactly a nuisance
perhaps the menus could be toggled off when the mouse enters the window pane.
Not sure how that would work exactly but it might solve the problem. On the other hand it's probably not worth the trouble
That's a browser related issue, I don't have that problem in Firefox.

It'd be pretty silly to worry about something as small as that.

*Oh yeah, I came in here for a reason. If I edit a post that has hide tags in it, after I confirm the edit I can't expand the hide button. I have to leave the page(or reload?) to get it to work. Not a big deal, but somethingI noticed.
If you click the login button from the home screen before you enter you username then it puts "username" in the username field, and you have to delete it before entering your username.

@Link: You're right it isn't an issue in Firefox (i just checked) but i think that's because firefox sends a "mouseout" event when you move off the pane. If I'm correct then it's not a browser issue, but it is an issue the browser can fix :)

EDIT: also, when I click a link for the latest post on a thread, it scrolls down too far (actually it scrolls exactly the right amount but the rmn bar makes the top line of the post unreadable)

When managing a game project, and looking at the Users assigned to it, if you click "Edit" it will just refresh the page. It won't actually allow me to edit that person's role unless I delete and re-add them to the project.
