GAME PLAN FOR 2011
Posts
I have almost finished the 3D tile sets for VX that took about a year to make. Of course, I'll give it out to the RMN community. I still have a problem with 3D see through tiles.
I'm going to finish my Halloween game. That is as far as I've gotten. I'm probably going to be too busy this next year with school and work to create anything else.
I want to finish a very specific game by the end of January. After that urge myself to work on Night of Marian better.
Gonna try and show off somethin' I've been workin' on for the past few months, it is also a tad responsible for the reason why P5 was delayed a little because of my attention shifting.
Me and my friend have already begun production on a game, which will be based on biblical concepts of the apocalypse. Takes place during The Albigensian Crusade as well. In 2011, I'm devoting all my game development time solely on this project, having halted all my other ongoing projects for the sake of finishing this one. I hope to finish the script, the character sheets, and actual game mechanics while my friend finishes the art, graphics, and music. Extensive research and analysis of the period (1216 AD) and the Book of Revelations is still ongoing.
I hope to have it unveiled by Summer of 2011, and completed by Q4 2011 or Q1 2012, although that probably won't happen. :p

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I'm starting an RMXP project, in theory. Having spent more than six years on my last project, it's a bit overwhelming to start a new one. I just open up the editor, and there's no game there to work on, so I close it.
This has been my state of affairs for months now.
But hey, a week or two ago, I solved the two biggest bugs in the battle system, and made my first three maps. Woo, I guess. Atoa's custom battle system is great, but it's got kind of a lot of bugs, and I don't look forward to making all of my own custom animated battlers. I need a better fucking pixel editor. Or an artist. But both are fictional entities, I think.
At this point, my plan is that I want to concentrate purely on gameplay this time around, so... I'm going to reuse the same story from my last game. This ensures that I'll have a well-thought-out and original story but keeps me from having to spend time writing anything. That's good, right? Or is that awful?

I'd like to actually focus on at least finishing one game this coming year - maybe Dungeon Crawl. That and my part of the chain game.
Hopefully I won't start any new games. It's getting ridiculous, really.

I wanna release the final demo for Alvorada do Mal in January (despite the insatisfactory beta-testing) and make a game called Daddy.
I want to try my luck with custom graphics, either by starting a small side project or maybe just remaking an existing (small) game or demo... but my main intention is to release the demo of my game and see how it fares, that pretty much will decide if i continue chasing dreams or give up this video game making business all together. ;C
Going to finish a chaingame project this month I hope, then I plan to finalize the systems for Azulea within the next month, and try to get a demo up by mid year.
I want to have Cosplay Crisis finished and polished by at maximum the end of February but I'll probably have it done before then.
I want to finish up the redo of Darkseed: Revival and maybe work on a couple of other projects I have planned. I aim to keep them small so I can get them done since it's my final year of high-school, but I want to do basically everything myself so we'll see...

NicoBCrazeWhy would you want to remake it? It's already great as it is.
I'm going to hopefully be finishing a complete and utter remake/revision (heh) of Visions & Voices with Karsuman..
As for me, you know, Forever's End, blah blah blah.
Apparently we have very different definitions of what makes am RM* game "great."

I'm really excited for Marian for 1 obvious reason and 1 secret personal reason...

I still think it's weird to rework that much an old game. You should just move on and work on newer projects.
Getting Oxtongue Heroes to the ~five-battle demo stage has been "a few months away" for several months, so it's about time I finished messing with status effects and hit that target.
I'll be feeling my way forward from there. Probable options include just adding battle maps (if I like how things turn out), considering some gameplay rework, or putting OH on the back burner for a while to work on a somewhat more traditional RPG.
